ďPay Attention to What You WANT to be DoingĒ
Participants: Mary (Michael), Margot (Giselle) and Howard (Bosht).
Elias arrives at 3:25 PM. (Arrival time is 23 seconds.)
ELIAS: Good afternoon!
MARGOT: Good afternoon, Elias, my dear friend! (Elias laughs) This is your hardheaded friend Margot.
ELIAS: Ah-ha! Creating new adventures in every moment!
MARGOT: Oh my god, yes, as you well know, because I talk to you so much about it! (Elias laughs) I got myself into a profound state of overwhelmingness late last month and had an accident. I wrapped the truck around a tree and the truck died, but I didnít! (Elias chuckles) But that incident finally got my attention enough to be able to begin to see some of the things that I do that overwhelm me so much, because I never could catch myself before.
MARGOT: But it was only because the things I do are so familiar to me that I just had never seen them, just because of the familiarity and the way I operate.
ELIAS: I am quite understanding.
MARGOT: Oh, thank you!
ELIAS: This is significant in itself, that you allow yourself to recognize and notice certain expressions that are so very familiar.
MARGOT: I know! Itís been a big step for me, not comparing myself to others, of course. I do notice that other people catch on faster than I do. But at any rate, Iím trying very hard now to stay out of overwhelmingness, and Iím catching myself.
Right at this present time Iím giving myself the first big test since the accident, because Thanksgiving is coming up and my son Dan and his partner are going to come and be here. Iíve been watching me overwhelm myself, but staying in the now and also constantly a mantra of it doesnít matter how the house looks and how the food tastes and if I buy the right things and so on and so forth. So this is a good test for me.
ELIAS: And what do you notice, Giselle, in your most familiar automatic response?
MARGOT: My most familiar automatic response is to worry about everything.
ELIAS: And what do you assess influences that or triggers that type of response?
MARGOT: I donít know that, Elias. Am I supposed to know that?
ELIAS: Let us view this one scenario. You are incorporating guests for your holiday, and you notice yourself beginning to overwhelm yourself. You identify that you are overwhelming yourself with worry in relation to all of your expressions and your environment being presented perfectly.
Now; as you recognize this automatic response and you identify what you are generating, which you have, what may you view within your expression that triggers this type of automatic response?
MARGOT: It has to do with my desire for perfection.
ELIAS: And associated with what payoff and outcome?
MARGOT: I guess it would be perfection; I guess that would be the payoff. I donít know that I achieve perfection very often. What am I missing here?
ELIAS: What you generate or what influences this automatic response of worrying is your wish to be expressing perfection in your presentment of yourself and of your environment, and what influences that wish is your discounting of yourself, your doubt of yourself that your presentment of yourself or your environment may not be good enough.
This is directly associated with other beliefs, which concern the perceptions of other individuals and once again your comparison of yourself to other individuals, which also generates an automatic association in that comparison of other individualsí expectations, and your doubt of whether you may, in your terms, measure up to the expectations of other individuals, especially those individuals that you deem to be close to you.
MARGOT: Yes, this would be true. I was going to call it just plain being a hostess. This has changed somewhat over the years. Itís taken another form now. It used to be, years ago, that I knew that as soon as I had everything organized in my mind or on a piece of paper, if I put everything on a list that I was going to do that day or the next day or the next day or the next day, then I could relax and I would be fine.
Iím in a far more advanced state of overwhelmingness, because now I make the list and Iím perfectly organized, but I still worry about it. I havenít always done that. I used to be able to write everything down on a piece of paper and not fret about it, but now I do. Maybe itís because we donít have enough guests in our home, or Iím out of practice. It really has been a challenge, but Iím working through it with this little test that I was describing to you.
I have wondered all the way through this if you could give me a combination of energy centers that I could work with. Or is that possible?
ELIAS: Yes, it is possible and, yes, I may express this to you. I may also express to you that it may be quite influencing and beneficial to allow yourself to recognize that the increase of your overwhelmingness now is associated with the alteration of your expectations and of your doubt of yourself whether you may accomplish meeting and expressing all of your expectations that you express in relation to yourself, which is quite influenced by beliefs concerning roles and what you SHOULD BE expressing and doing, and not associated with what you WANT to be expressing and doing.
Therefore, in paying attention to what you WANT to be doing and offering yourself the freedom to express that, you also interrupt the expectation of yourself of what you SHOULD BE doing.
Now; in this, you WANT to be engaging interaction with your son and his partner and your partner, generating an enjoyment, and allowing yourself to freely express yourself without limitations and to merely generate an atmosphere of pleasure and an experience of pleasure and interaction.
Now; what is wrong with this suggestion?
MARGOT: I donít think I follow you here.
ELIAS: What is wrong with that expression of allowing yourself the freedom of your expressions to be generating what you want and creating an atmosphere in which you allow yourself preferences, pleasure and a free interaction with these individuals?
MARGOT: There isnít anything wrong with that.
ELIAS: Correct! Correct. Therefore as you recognize this is what you want, you may also recognize that the expectations that you are expressing to yourself in the shoulds or should-nots are merely influenced by old beliefs that are familiar, [and] you may offer yourself permission to express a new direction and a new experience in which you allow yourself to relax and experience your freedom.
MARGOT: Yes, thatís what I want, and Iíve been taking notes! (Elias laughs) Well, itís the overwhelmingness. Since the accident I find that the only way I can put it is thereís a lack of confidence in me. Iím not frightened to drive, but Iím not as sure of myself doing anything as I used to be before the accident, even. I think that time will take care of this. Itís been a real interesting time for me, and Iím finding out a lot more about myself than I ever thought I wanted to know, I guess.
ELIAS: Now; the trick in this situation is to not be forcing energy, to recognize the familiarity of your beliefs and of your automatic responses and of your expectations of yourself, but also to recognize and notice that you are choosing to create different types of movements now. Those familiar expectations and automatic responses do not fit in the direction that you are choosing now. As I have stated, the trick is to allow yourself to recognize the new direction and allow yourself to relax in your movement with the new direction, and not force your energy in association with the old familiar expressions.
MARGOT: Thank you for putting it like that. Thatís very good. Thatís very, very helpful. Okay, we can move on if you want to.
ELIAS: Very well!
MARGOT: Not very long ago, Howard looked through a very old book that he had acquired a long, long time ago. The name of the book is ďThe Secret DoctrineĒ by Madame Blavatsky. Having been involved in as much New Age metaphysical stuff that weíve been involved in, weíve heard her name before and the philosophy that she had. In the front of this very old book, there is a picture of her, and we think that Madame Blavatsky is Vicki.
MARGOT: Hooray! We were so sure about that. As we did research on this on the Internet, we came across a website. It seems thereís at least one chapter in the world thatís still operating, and itís in Edinburgh. It gave the program for the month; evidently they meet once a week. We thought it was so interesting and funny that one of the nights last month, someone gave a paper entitled ďBeethoven: Theosophy in Music.Ē We thought that was funny. (Elias chuckles) So we have thought a lot about this Ė or I have thought a lot about this Ė would you say that Beethoven was a very early theosophist? (Pause)
ELIAS: Not quite! (Laughs)
MARGOT: I know that the whole thing of theosophy came out of spiritualism and mysticism and whatnot, but it seems to me that thereís a connection here as philosophical thought has evolved through the years. Were any of us in the forum involved in the movement of this doctrine?
MARGOT: I thought so. Did I know Madame Blavatsky personally?
MARGOT: Thought so; very interesting. Thank you for that, Elias.
ELIAS: You are welcome.
MARGOT: The last time we talked, you straightened out for me that I was the queen of Seti I and not II. A name came to me, my name, Amarantha. But then I found a book about a week ago which lists Seti Iís wife as Tuya. Did I bring Amarantha from some other focus? Is that my name in some other focus other than the one as Setiís wife, queen?
ELIAS: Let me express to you, many of these individuals incorporated many wives.
MARGOT: Wives or concubines, I guess.
MARGOT: So if I was a concubine, is my name Amarantha?
MARGOT: I was in conversation with Carter recently and he told me Ė I think it was Carter; I might have the wrong person here Ė that he was an Ottoman sultan and his name was Ahmed III. I connected right away that my name in an Ottoman focus is Rava.
MARGOT: Can you give me a little bit? Is that my name during the time of Ahmed III?
ELIAS: Yes, but not directly associated with that individual.
MARGOT: Very good.
Now weíve got to talk about our new cat! (Elias laughs) You told me that heís having his first experience in this dimension. We found that to be very exciting, because heís a different kind of a cat, except that heís definitely a cat. We wonder if he came from Sweala and Grelkoís dimension, which they call Merluna.
MARGOT: Would he by any chance be the pet that they sometimes bring with them when they come and that used to scare our cats to death?
MARGOT: Thought so! Because when he came, he knew our house like the back of his hand Ė his paw! (Elias laughs) So at home!
This brought up a lot of questions about creatures again. Was it his choice to relocate himself here, or was this choice offered to him, so to speak, by creature consciousness? When a creature disengages and re-manifests immediately, is the creature itself making the choice, or is that where creature consciousness places him, so to speak?
ELIAS: There is no entity of creature consciousness that places or decides or chooses for a creature to be manifest in any time framework or dimension or any physical location. This is an interaction in agreement between yourselves and the aspect of consciousness, so to speak, that is configuring to be manifest in association with your choice and desire.
MARGOT: So it was Swealaís pet Ė we never had a name for that pet Ė that made the agreement with me in the creation of him in this dimension.
MARGOT: Do animals or creatures of all kinds go back and forth between dimensions a lot, or is this rare?
ELIAS: It is not rare, but I may also express to you that it does not occur frequently. But it does occur.
MARGOT: In this case, was this tabby cat we call Cecil Ė I know Iím not putting this in the right terms, but I think you understand what Iím saying Ė did he have any idea what this dimension was going to be like other than what heíd observed here as Swealaís pet?
MARGOT: Iíve told you before about the energy deposits here in this place and the essences that we have around here that the other cats could see so well. The thing that was so interesting that we saw about him right away was Ė of course, heís got his own little ways of doing things Ė he evidently had discovered he had a sense of smell. When he would see an essence or an energy deposit, he would try to smell it! This was hilarious to watch, because his little nose was just going like crazy! Then he figured out that he couldnít smell that kind of a thing. (Elias chuckles)
He also bathes himself constantly. My explanation for this is because he is in a denser place and it gets on his coat somehow and he feels like he needs to bathe.
ELIAS: No. It is associated with physical sensation and this is a pleasurable experience. Therefore, it is incorporated frequently.
MARGOT: Oh, thatís a cool answer! Right, like all the time! (Elias laughs)
He is very aggressive. Iíve never had a kitten that is quite as aggressive as this. He wants his way and he makes it very clear. Heís been kind of a challenge for somebody that hasnít even had kids around for a while.
He got to us when he was about four months old. Do you have any idea where he had been? If he had a purpose or a goal of reaching us, where was he for the four months prior to the time that he reached us?
ELIAS: And what is the significance in this question?
MARGOT: Just the curiosity about how reactive he is to the sound of the dog. Heís terrified! I keep wondering where had he been all that time.
ELIAS: You are attempting to ascertain information in relation to cause and effect, and if offering yourself an explanation of the physical location of the creature prior to his arrival with you, you may recognize the reason that he may be generating certain behaviors. Let me express to you that this is entirely irrelevant.
The reason that the creature displays certain behaviors is that this physical manifestation is new, and therefore there are certain expressions within this physical reality that are quite unfamiliar and are unknown to the creature. For the most part, this creature responds to that type of stimulus of unknown elements within your physical reality with tremendous curiosity and excitement and vigor.
MARGOT: He also gets bored very easily. A new toy is fine for an hour or so and maybe even the next day, but beyond that itís not fun at all. Heís always looking for something more.
ELIAS: For he is exploring a new reality.
MARGOT: Yes, I understand. Howard would like to know if Sweala and Grelkoís pet was a meerkat or a lemur cat. (Pause)
MARGOT: We kind of thought that.
Now the last time we talked, you confirmed that Little Bear had re-manifested as a beagle dog. I mentioned that on the [email] list, and I got reports from all over the country about folks whose attention had been drawn to a beagle puppy. One of them is Ruther, and evidently thereís one where she works now. Where is Little Bear as this dog? Can you give me a geographic area? (Pause)
MARGOT: Cool! Speaking of Ruther, she said to tell you that sheís going to move in your direction soon and she loves you so much.
ELIAS: And you may extend my greetings and my affection also to her.
MARGOT: In the British chapter focus, now that weíre all sure and weíre all on the same page in knowing that thereís a previous chapter, do I have a focus in that chapter?
MARGOT: Thatís in about the 1100s, right?
MARGOT: That part of English history has always just been so fascinating to me. Iím going to really investigate this now because there must have been some reason why I was so fascinated! (Elias laughs) Do I understand correctly that you were a sorcerer in that chapter too?
MARGOT: I was told once by a channel that my friend Paula is Mary Queen of Scots. Is that true?
ELIAS: Observing essence.
MARGOT: Observing essence. Once again we keep running into that! However, is Mary Queen of Scots, in the Forum? (Pause)
MARGOT: Several of us thought so. Is it anybody that I know personally now?
MARGOT: Last time you confirmed that Marj/Grady and I are mother and daughter in a future focus. I think you said it was about the 24th century. Who is the daughter and who is the mother of us, Marj and me?
ELIAS: You are the daughter.
MARGOT: The two of us are so drawn to each other that we feel weíve shared other focuses in this dimension which are not way off in the future. Have we shared other focuses?
ELIAS: Quite a few, yes.
MARGOT: That makes lots of sense, because thatís the way we feel.
You confirmed last time we talked that thereís a focus Timo and I share, in which Iím his wife Fatima in Persia or what is now Iran. Iíve been working quite hard to pinpoint a timeframe for this. Is it in Persia before it was destroyed by Alexander the Great? (Pause)
ELIAS: You do incorporate a focus in that time framework, but this particular focus is later.
MARGOT: Does it have anything to do with the Ottoman Empire? Was it during that time? This is what I sensed to be the case.
ELIAS: Associated, yes.
MARGOT: When I asked you last time we talked if I have a focus with Oscar Wilde, I didnít really understand the kind of answer that you gave me. I believe you said that I have a focus with Oscar Wilde in which I am the directing essence. I never heard you answer like that. Can you explain that a little more?
ELIAS: You do incorporate several focuses in that time framework in which you are the observing essence, and therefore I was offering you the recognition of the designation that you do also incorporate a focus which is a directing essence.
MARGOT: Is the acquaintanceship that I have with Oscar Wilde a close one?
ELIAS: It is an acquaintance and not throughout the entirety of the focus.
MARGOT: Was I a male or a female?
MARGOT: I have a note here that Howard passed to me. Does Mary have a focus of Krishnamurti? (Pause)
MARGOT: Thank you! Did you hear that, Howard?
HOWARD: Yes, I did.
MARGOT: Weíve got about fifteen minutes left here, Howard. Do you want to talk to Elias?
HOWARD: Well, of course I would! (Elias laughs loudly)
MARGOT: (Humorously) I think you two know each other! (Elias laughs)
HOWARD: Letís see. Weíll start with the present and try to go back. Last night I had a dream and it really startled me; it woke me up. Essentially my question is, is Danielle Steel a focus of mine?
ELIAS: Observing essence throughout the entirety.
HOWARD: Wow! I said glibly, ďAt least Bosht has one successful focus!Ē (Laughs)
ELIAS: (Laughs loudly) All of your focuses are successful! Ha ha ha!
HOWARD: I do know that, but some make millions! (Elias laughs) Margot, help me here, because I had a couple of other odds and ends. This is very sudden.
MARGOT: I understand that, but Howard if you would make a list... (Elias laughs loudly)
HOWARD: I have a list! Recently we received a gift from Ted and Luanne when they visited. It is a lovely Zuni statuette, very allegory in its presentation and almost like a totem pole. I wonder every time I see it, what is this object? I feel very, very, very close to it symbolically, but I canít put my hand on it. Can you help me out on that?
ELIAS: In a manner of speaking, it is a totem. Not necessarily what you may be familiar with in its design, but this is its symbology.
HOWARD: Yes. As you recall the picture that was given to me by Red Cloud, the mayor, I accept gifts now as an expression from another person relating themselves, a part of themselves.
ELIAS: Partially, but more so as a recognition of your energy, and allowing themselves to offer a presentment in a configuration that matches, so to speak, some expression of your energy.
HOWARD: And thatís true too! (Elias laughs) Arenít we clever, us humans!
Iíve got my questions here, and Iíll be quick. There is a metaphysical entity whoís known as White Eagle, whoís a channeled source very popular in England. I have read this White Eagle stuff for quite some years now, and I associate White Eagle himself with Ron Churchman. Is Olivia White Eagle?
ELIAS: No, but I am understanding your association, for Olivia does offer an energy in supportiveness of that expression.
HOWARD: I had a follow-up that was trying to correlate essence behavior with physical focus behavior and trying to match the two, but I understand what youíre saying.
ELIAS: The expression of energy is quite similar to that of the other essences that facilitate THIS energy exchange.
HOWARD: Iím going to think on that for a while. (Elias laughs) This is almost a question that Vic might have answered, because weíre getting into the Native American connections, especially the wars during the 19th century, 1800s. Ron was identified as Black Kettle, he said, although I have never heard that. Is that correct?
HOWARD: Therefore, Vicki would have to be White Antelope. (Pause)
ELIAS: Not necessarily.
HOWARD: And so we still donít know who I am!
ELIAS: (Laughs loudly) Continue your investigation!
HOWARD: I want somebody else to step forward and say, ďWas Howard so-and-so?Ē (Margot and Elias laugh) I have been digging in this grave for years, of Sacagawea, Red Cloud, Black Elk! Iím going to go out on a limb here and Iím going to say that I was... No, Iím going to back up. (Elias laughs) I want to know about Chief Joseph. Iíll first ask, was he a focus of mine?
ELIAS: (Chuckles) No.
HOWARD: Heís laughing! But I was very close to him?
ELIAS: (Grinning) Yes.
HOWARD: I was Olikut?
ELIAS: No. (Chuckles)
HOWARD: Youíre just playing games!
ELIAS: (Laughs) YOU are guessing!
HOWARD: I know that! (Elias laughs) Shoot. Am I Crazy Horse?
HOWARD: Well, thatís it, then! Iím out of questions.
ELIAS: Ah! Quite a small tribe! (Laughs)
MARGOT: So thatís why youíre so interested in that whole story, Howard.
Elias, weíre just about out of time. Iím reminded of something Iíve been going to ask you for a long time, and Iíve kind of been putting it off. I have a close friend here whose husband passed away last fall. Since that time sheís been talking through a channel to her husband, telling me all about it and expecting me to totally buy it, which I donít, but I donít know why I donít. I think that my question has to do with the types of things that we get engaged in after we disengage. My sense is that her husband Jim has kept himself quite attached to the reality here. Would that be so?
ELIAS: In a manner of speaking.
MARGOT: And that heís done this because of watching out for her or...?
ELIAS: No, merely generating an objective expression similar to this physical reality, but not necessarily in association with the other individual.
Now; let me also express to you, I am understanding of your expression of skepticism in relation to the expression of this individual. But also allow yourself the understanding objectively that it matters not whether the individual is actually interacting with the other focus which is disengaged. For she is interactive with an energy deposit, and is purposefully creating this expression within her reality to offer herself comfort, which is quite real.
MARGOT: Yes, I understand. I certainly understand that aspect. I think about it a lot and I go through it in my mind a lot. When she talks to me about it and thatís all she wants to talk about, I just really donít have anything to add that is acceptable to her.
ELIAS: Perhaps merely generate an acceptance of the interaction, my friend.
MARGOT: Yes, thatís what I need to do.
Okay, Elias, I think weíre out of time. Itís sure been great to talk to you, especially the first part of the session when we talked about my overwhelmingness stuff and the fact that I should realize that Iím in a new situation and Iím going to give myself what I want, and all those other things that you said.
ELIAS: Very well.
MARGOT: I will think of you very much in the next few days.
ELIAS: And I shall be with you and encouraging of you.
MARGOT: Thank you.
ELIAS: And you may offer to Bosht one clue. (Laughs) The tribe is not quite as tiny as he perceives it to be, and in this, he may not be as famous or well known as the other characters, and does generate in many focuses a preference in what you term to be lower station or peasantry! (Laughs)
MARGOT: Iíll tell him that. Thank you so much, Elias!
ELIAS: You are quite welcome, my friend. I shall be anticipating our next meeting.
MARGOT: And I will be, too.
ELIAS: And I shall be amusing myself as I continue to view Bosht moving in circles! Ha ha ha! I offer you both great affection and supportiveness. In fondness, au revoir.
MARGOT: Au revoir.
Elias departs at 4:21 PM.
