“The Power and Tremendous Potential of the Truth Wave”
“Expectations and Happiness”
“Happiness Is Not Acquired”
Participants: Mary (Michael) and Leela (Sonjah).
Elias arrives at 2:11 PM. (1)
ELIAS: Good afternoon!
LEELA: Good afternoon.
ELIAS: And we meet in a physical proximity!
LEELA: (Laughing) Yes, we do! (Elias chuckles) It’s nice to speak to you like this.
ELIAS: And how shall we proceed?
LEELA: Shall I ask my questions?
ELIAS: You may.
LEELA: I will read them to you.
ELIAS: Very well.
LEELA: About a year ago, something happened to me that made me realize at that moment that I was part of a whole, that I belonged to that whole just the way I am. For about three months I felt almost ecstatically happy. I knew what it was to be focused on me and on the now. I felt a tremendous trust in myself. Just before that, I was experiencing for a few weeks the worst fears I ever had. They were about being alone. Can you tell me about the fearful period and about the ecstatic period?
ELIAS: First of all, offer to myself your impressions concerning both periods.
LEELA: Well, I think for a long time in my life I have always wanted to be with someone, a romantic relationship. I really wanted to be in a symbiotic relationship with someone. At that time, I ended my relationship and for the first time I would really be alone. I think that the fear of being alone was then very much triggered in that period.
ELIAS: And what else? Not merely being alone.
LEELA: I was afraid I did not belong to anything. I was afraid of not having an identity. That was my biggest fear, of not having an identity.
ELIAS: And what do you assess was influencing that fear? What belief do you assess was influencing of that situation in which you experienced that fearfulness and that discomfort?
LEELA: Well, maybe the belief that I have to be with someone to have an identity?
ELIAS: Correct, which is quite strong. This is held as a mass belief, that if you are not coupled with another individual that you are not complete. Therefore, there is an aspect of your identity that is threatened, for your identity may only be completed if you are within a romantic relationship with another individual. Which, I may express to you, is not true, but it is one of your truths.
As you may be aware, in this time framework you are involving yourself, as every other individual within this physical reality, in this new wave of consciousness which is addressing to the belief system of truth, which is extremely powerful, but may also be very empowering as you begin to recognize what your truths are, for they are your most strongly held and expressed beliefs, and therefore, they are not questioned. In this, as in your example, not being questioned and being absolute, you are very strongly affected.
Now; in being objectively aware of what these truths are that you hold and that you express, you also begin to offer yourself the freedom to choose and to recognize that they may be your truths but they are not truth, they are not absolute.
Now; part of what you experienced is precisely this, that without actually objectively analyzing all of these beliefs and their affectingnesses or their influences, what you allowed yourself to experience was the expression of one of your truths. In that, you view one aspect of that truth, which may be quite limiting and even painful.
But truths are tricky beliefs, for in association with truths they express many different influences, some of which may be deemed to be positive, some of which may be deemed to be negative. Some may be expressed in excitement and even elation, some in painfulness and fear – all associated with the same belief which has become an absolute, therefore one of your truths.
Now; in this, subsequent to your allowance of yourself to be presenting yourself with an example of one of your truths, that you are not complete within your identity if you are not coupled with another individual, you allowed yourself to experience what you may term to be the negative aspect of that truth. But you have also allowed yourself to move into what you may term to be positive aspects associated with that truth also, that if you are concentrating your attention upon you and you are paying attention in the now, you are expressing more fully yourself and your freedom.
Therefore, you are projecting outwardly a different type of energy, which within consciousness and within energy within your physical dimension as that is expressed outwardly, it becomes a type of beacon in energy, which is, in actuality, quite attractive to other individuals, for they wish to be expressing in like manner.
You all wish to be expressing your own freedom and genuinely appreciating of yourselves, for if you are genuinely appreciating of yourselves, you may also be genuinely appreciating of other individuals, and this is why it is attractive energy. In that expression, you draw other individuals to yourself naturally, and you may more efficiently create precisely what you want in association with that truth of generating another relationship with another individual – or even with the same individual. It is depending on what you want and what direction you are moving within. But the point is that you generate a different type of energy, which continues to be in alignment with that belief of coupling yourself with another individual.
LEELA: But it felt much less limiting, and I do not feel like I am dependent on anyone now.
ELIAS: Correct, for you have offered yourself these experiences in association with that truth. Therefore, you offer yourself choices and much more freedom.
Now; this is not to say that the belief has been eliminated. It has not and it continues to be expressed, but...
LEELA: Within freedom.
ELIAS: Yes. For what you have moved into is an acceptance of that belief, and therefore you allow yourself to manipulate your energy in manners in which you may continue to express your freedom, and manipulate the belief in manners that are beneficial to you in what you want, not in what you do not want.
Now; let me also express to you an identification. Accepting a belief is not an action that you generate once and therefore it stands ever after. You continue to present yourself with opportunities to be accepting of that same belief continuously. But once you have identified and once you have allowed yourself that freedom and you have moved into an expression of paying attention to yourself and moving into a direction in which you are not generating those patterns that have been familiar to you previously...
LEELA: Like fear of being alone?
ELIAS: Yes. You begin to offer yourself more reinforcement of your own trust and your acceptance. Therefore, in each situation in which you encounter an opportunity to be accepting of that belief once again, it becomes easier and easier and more and more obvious. You respond much more immediately for you recognize, “Ah, this is that truth once again, but I do incorporate choices. It is my decision how I shall be responsive, how I shall move my energy, how I shall be receiving, how I shall be exposing and how I shall be expressing myself.”
LEELA: Are those truths you speak of a kind of major belief, and every person does have a few of them?
LEELA: How many would that be?
ELIAS: It is dependent on the individual. Let me express to you, you all, every individual within your physical reality, you all incorporate all of the beliefs within all of the belief systems, but you express a few of each belief system.
Now; all of the others that are latent, that are not expressed, are available to you, which are countless. Therefore, you incorporate tremendous freedom. It is not a matter of changing a belief or eliminating a belief but of recognizing and therefore also choosing to be expressing perhaps another belief.
Now; in this, of those expressed beliefs, some expressed beliefs you recognize as beliefs. You identify them, you recognize behaviors that are associated with them, and you recognize thought processes that are associated with them. But you also identify them in a category as being just beliefs, as though there are beliefs which are less than.
Then there are truths, which are categorized differently in your associations. Those are not beliefs; those merely are. They are unquestioned; they are absolute. Therefore, they are not beliefs, for in your assessment beliefs are some expression that you either believe or you do not believe, and there are some expressions that are not a matter of whether you believe them or do not believe them, they are and they are universal.
Now; this is what becomes a truth. It is not a truth, but...
LEELA: You believe it to be.
ELIAS: Correct, and you do not question it and it is absolute. Therefore, your choices are extremely limited. I have offered an example previously to other individuals quite simply, in that a truth may be identified that the sun in its orb rises and sets every day. In certain positions that is a truth with many individuals, for it is unquestioned and absolute. It merely occurs. It is uncontrollable and there is no other choice. It is what it is. But dependent upon your position within your physical reality, the sun does not rise and set every day. It rises and remains risen, or it sets and remains set. For it is dependent upon your position, which is dependent upon your perception, which creates your reality.
Now; in this, dependent upon your position once again – your culture, your physical location, the mass beliefs expressed in that location which are reinforced by all of the participants that occupy that location – you incorporate certain absolutes, which become your truths. What is significant that you recognize objectively is that they are not actually truths. They are strongly unquestioned beliefs.
LEELA: So those are maybe the most important ones to accept, because they are for that individual very strong?
ELIAS: Let me express to you, the significance of these beliefs, as they are very strong, is that if you are allowing yourself to identify and examine these truths, you automatically begin to realize objectively the significance of there being no absolutes. In that action, you may continue to express your truths, for each one incorporates, as I have stated, some elements that you prefer. They are not wrong, but you recognize that they are individual to you and your perception, and other individuals may incorporate differences and that is not wrong, either. Therefore, you eliminate the judgments in relation to yourself and to other individuals.
Now; in that action in association with these truths, the other beliefs that you incorporate that are expressed beliefs, you begin to automatically associate in the same manner. It does not require much evaluation, it requires no analyzation, and many times it requires no thought or effort, for the other beliefs you have identified as beliefs. Therefore, you are aware of them. Even though you may temporarily continue to be struggling with some, they are identified.
Therefore, in addressing to the truths, the other beliefs are not less than, they are merely expressed differently and therefore they are easily accepted. This is the power of this particular wave. It is incorporating a tremendous potential.
LEELA: And also trauma, maybe?
ELIAS: That is a potential also, if individuals choose to be moving in opposition to this wave. It may generate tremendous trauma. But conversely, if you are choosing to move in conjunction with it and not in opposition to it, it may be extremely empowering and liberating.
LEELA: You said that I was experiencing the positive aspects of the belief system...
LEELA: ...but after a few months, the happy feeling just slowly faded. That made me feel sad and powerless, and angry, by the way. Not only did the feeling slip away, but also many important things in my life went wrong or I seemed to be losing them. It felt like a sort of punishment, like I was doing something wrong. It was such a contrast with the feeling I had last summer.
Can you tell me why the happy feeling faded away and why I experienced the opposite of that feeling? I felt like I could not trust anything at all. What most frustrates me is why I would create such happiness for myself and then lose it again. Can you explain?
ELIAS: And your impressions? Look to what you have experienced, look to what you engaged and what you do. This is significant.
LEELA: In this experience?
LEELA: Well, I think a lot of it has to do with trust.
ELIAS: Which is quite general, but let us be specific. Look to what you have engaged in what you have actually done – what you identify as your turning point, so to speak.
LEELA: First it faded away, the happy feeling and...
ELIAS: Very well, stop.
Now; you are identifying that this experience, this feeling began to fade away. What where you doing in that time framework?
LEELA: The first thing that comes to my mind is that I was in France. Does it have anything to do with expectations?
ELIAS: Partially, but continue. What I am engaging with you is significant, for this may be helpful to you in identifying what you are actually doing that generates these turns. Therefore, you are engaging holiday...
LEELA: ...in France. I was expecting that I would enjoy it very much because many times I had this happy feeling when I was in nature, when I was looking at trees and grass and green things. I thought that I would enjoy this vacation because it was in the mountains and in nature. I don’t know why, but I didn’t feel the feeling at all. I felt very sad and depressed. I had just quit smoking a few weeks before that. That’s what my impressions are.
ELIAS: Therefore, you generate an expectation, and you incorporate movement to this physical location holding that expectation. Subsequently, you are experiencing disappointment, which is the beginning of what you term to be unhappy.
Now; the disappointment is generated from what?
LEELA: From the expectation that I would enjoy the holiday?
ELIAS: Correct. But in-between, what are you doing? You have the expectation, you travel, you are now at the location, the expectation is continued, and you are doing...? What are you paying attention to?
LEELA: Not in the now. Is that what you mean?
LEELA: Because when you are expecting, it is always something that is in the future. You are waiting for it to happen and it does not happen, and in the same moment you are not focusing your attention on yourself and on the now.
ELIAS: Correct, and upon what you want. Therefore, you are not generating it, for your attention is upon the expectation.
Now; what is dangerous concerning expectations is not merely that they are projections into the future, but expectations are also expressed in a manner in which you as an individual generate an association that some action or event or situation shall occur – not that you shall create it, it shall merely occur. It shall happen. Therefore, where is your attention? Outside of yourself in association with the expectation that some event outside of yourself shall present itself to you. Therefore, you are no longer directing, are you?
LEELA: That’s how it felt when it came over me, in a manner of speaking. That’s how it felt. It just was there, it felt like it just happened to me...
LEELA: ...and I didn’t feel like it was... Well, I had some moments in the car when I was not driving and I looked outside to see the trees and the grasses, and then I was able to make the feeling come. Is that what you mean, that I have to make contact with it myself?
ELIAS: Yes, and generate rather than moving your concentration and attention to the expectation.
Now; this is not an involvement with other individuals; this is an involvement with you and your environment. Therefore, what has disappointed you? Your environment has disappointed you. But in actuality, the disappointment is generated from within you, for you have disappointed yourself that you are not generating the experience that you expect.
In continuing to concentrate your attention upon the expectation, which is a projection to the future, you deny yourself the choices in the now. Therefore, you do not allow yourself to create or to generate that experience that you want – which you may change in any moment, even in the experience of the disappointment, if you are turning your attention to you and recognizing that this disappointment is being generated from yourself. You may turn that in any moment and create a very different experience.
Now; what becomes the snare for you and for many individuals – I may express to you, you are quite not alone (chuckles) – but the snare is presented in that you generate this emotional signal and you turn your attention to the signal. You are not turning your attention to the message, which is attempting to express to you, “You are disappointed for you are not generating your expectations. Stop, pay attention and allow yourself the freedom to choose and to act and to do and to create your experience and not to be a victim.” But without the message, the concentration moves to the signal, which is the feeling.
LEELA: Of disappointment.
ELIAS: Yes. The feeling becomes stronger, for the message is not being received. Therefore, the signal becomes louder in attempting to gain your attention. What occurs is you have immediately moved your attention to the signal, it becomes louder, and it becomes confused.
Now; it becomes more difficult to identify precisely what the signal is. It may have begun as disappointment and it continues to be disappointment, but as it increases in intensity, you begin to express confusion, and attempt to identify different types of signals. You begin attaching different symbols to what your original message was.
LEELA: Is that also why many things went wrong that winter? Were they also some kind of confused signals?
ELIAS: As you generate this snowball, so to speak, the signals are confused. The message has not been received.
Now; the signal increases; therefore, you automatically continue to pay attention and you continue to perpetuate it, and you begin to feel – for you are not addressing to the message yet but merely the feeling – you begin to feel more and more intense. But the feeling becomes confused. It is, in a manner of speaking, mixed now with disappointment, with sadness, with anxiety, with fear, for you begin to generate more and more signals for you are merely paying attention to the signals.
In this, as you continue to concentrate upon the signals, what do you generate? You begin to generate an attempt at translating, which is thought. Now you begin to attempt to translate the signals, but you have not offered yourself the information of the message, which is the actual emotion. Therefore, your thought process is incorporating inadequate information. Therefore, it is translating inaccurately.
LEELA: So the punishment is an inaccurate translation?
ELIAS: Yes. But although thought does not create your reality, which it does not – you may think and think and think, and this shall not necessarily create any manifestation – what is significant in association with thought is that it IS translating what information you are offering it, regardless of how slight that may be.
Now; in association with that, it is also translating what type of energy you are projecting, for it is receiving information concerning your energy and where your attention is. Therefore, the significant element of thought is that it is translating what type of energy you are projecting. That is significant, for as you identified, situations began to be wrong and different expressions within your focus were uncomfortable and it appeared to you to continue and increase – naturally. This is what you are projecting in energy. What you project outward in energy, you also automatically reflect. Therefore, if your concentration is held upon these signals of discomfort, you shall generate imagery to reflect that discomfort or discounting of yourself. Which, once you begin to feel disappointed and distressed concerning the disappointment, you also began to discount yourself.
LEELA: So what can I do to turn this around? You say focus on myself and focus on the now. (Laughs) Any advice?
ELIAS: I am aware that that appears to you quite simplistic, and I am aware of the energy which is projected to myself of, “Very well, what does that mean and how do I actual turn this situation? I may focus upon myself and it is not changing!” (Leela laughs)
Now; I shall express to you, recognize what you are actually doing – pay attention to that. It is very significant. Pay attention to your signals, but not merely the signal. Pay attention beyond the signal and listen to your communication. Communications are actually very clear. It is merely a matter of familiarizing yourself with your own language.
LEELA: Can I do that by using the same inner senses I use for communicating with animals?
ELIAS: You may. Listen to YOU. You may listen to creatures; it is not difficult for you to listen to the communications of creatures through their energy, why shall you not listen to your own energy? Are you less than? No, you are not, and you are more than worthy of your attention. Your greatest responsibility is to you.
In this, your greatest gift and contribution within consciousness, if you choose to view it in that manner, is to be accepting that responsibility to pay attention to you and therefore also allowing yourself your freedom, for this changes the energy that you express outwardly, as you have already witnessed yourself. The energy that you project outwardly is quite real and it does affect your reality. It does. Therefore, it is your choice how you wish to be manipulating your energy and how you wish to be projecting it outwardly and therefore reflecting – what? To yourself.
In this, if you are aware of what you are doing, if you are offering yourself a signal of disappointment or anxiety or sadness or distress or any of these signals that you assess to be uncomfortable or negative, allow yourself to stop. Do not look to any expression outside of yourself, regardless of the situation, even in association with other individuals. Remove any outside expression from yourself temporarily. If you must, close your eyes and disengage your outer senses to turn your attention to you, for no outside expression is generating that signal within you. You are responding to some expression within you. That is what is generating that signal.
Once you recognize the signal, allow yourself to stop and attempt to identify what the signal is, whether it be disappointment or anxiety or distress or pain or fear. It is significant to be identifying the signal, for this offers you a clue concerning what the message is. Once identifying the signal, allow yourself to stop paying attention to the signal and allow yourself to evaluate – not analyze but evaluate – what am I doing in this moment.
You may initially express to yourself in thought “nothing.” But you are doing something: “I am sitting within my vehicle. While I am sitting in my vehicle, where is my attention? My attention is nowhere.” Yes, it is. “Where is my attention? Upon the signal, upon my feeling.” Very well. The feeling is this – what is generating that?
You are aware enough that if you are evaluating, you incorporate enough information to be answering these questions to yourself. You have. You have expressed to myself “expectations.” Yes, expectations – “Very well, I am generating expectation and I am disappointed. What am I doing in relation to that expectation?” Now you may also answer yourself “nothing.” Clue: “I am doing nothing in relation to that expectation. Ah! Perhaps I shall incorporate an action and move my attention and do something.” Not fixing – that is quite different – but merely moving your attention in a different direction and interrupting the expectation, allowing yourself to direct rather than wait, for waiting...
LEELA: I don’t know what to focus my attention on. So I don’t focus on disappointment, but focus on that feeling that I had, try to generate that feeling again? Is that what you...?
ELIAS: Not necessarily. Not necessarily, for that is an attempt to force your energy, which may also be disappointing. Merely inquire of yourself in that moment what you want. Not what do you want futurely, not what do you want tomorrow, not what do you want one hour from now, but what do I want in this moment. And your answer may be quite simple. It may be “I want to sit.” It may not be a dramatic action, but whatever you identify as your want in that moment, allow yourself to express it.
As you move into that action, you are genuinely holding your attention in the now and you are genuinely paying attention to you. Regardless of how insignificant you assess your answer to yourself to be, it is not insignificant. For that small movement – in your assessment – generates a tremendous reinforcement of trust and of acceptance without expectation.
LEELA: So I ask myself what do I want now...
LEELA: ...and then I do it...
LEELA: ...whatever it is.
ELIAS: Yes, without projection. Example: I may express to you, what do you want now?
LEELA: To sit here and talk to you!
ELIAS: Correct! That is an example.
LEELA: Can you tell me something about the state I am in right now? I feel unsafe, threatened, insecure, shaky. I can’t handle much that comes from outside, especially noise. I can’t handle much at all. At my work, they call it a burnout. Why do I feel so unsafe, what is going on? Is this something new or is it related to what we are talking about?
ELIAS: It is related to what we have been discussing. In this, I may express to you that you are feeling unsafe for you are generating fear. Fear is familiar, for it is associated with discounting yourself and projecting your attention outwardly in another truth that outside expressions, that environments, interactions, individuals, movements that you incorporate, expressions shall generate your happiness – that you shall ACQUIRE happiness rather than generate it.
This is one of your truths, that happiness is acquired, and how it is acquired is if you are presenting yourself with an environment, with other individuals, with directions that are in association with your preferences.
Now; I have identified this previously with other individuals and I shall express it to you also: Preferences are preferred beliefs. That is all. They are not absolutes, either. Even within an individual, preferences change, which is also an example to you of how you may move from one belief to another. For in changing your preferences, you have not changed the belief. You have moved your attention and you have incorporated another belief in your attention as a preference. The other belief remains, and may even continue to be expressed, but you have moved your preference to a different belief. You have exchanged, so to speak. This is the flexibility of beliefs.
Now; in this, what becomes confusing is that in this truth of acquiring happiness – which you may view even within your speech, that you want to BECOME happy, that you wish you would BE happy, as though this is to be attained, which it is not to be attained – as you begin to recognize that this also is a strong truth, you begin to empower yourself.
Rather than waiting to become happy – for you are waiting for some expression to create that happiness for you and within you as an outside force that shall transform you into an expression of happiness – you may begin to recognize that this expression of happiness is not acquired. It is an action that you generate yourself in association with your preferences.
Recognizing what your preferences are – which in itself may be quite challenging, for preferences are unfamiliar to individuals, for they do not pay attention – but once you begin to pay attention and you listen to yourself, you shall recognize your preferences. For in any expression that you do not prefer, you shall experience a twinge. You shall know immediately. It is merely a matter of whether you pay attention or not, or whether you dismiss that.
Now; as you begin to recognize your preferences, move your attention to those expressions and allow yourself to freely express...
LEELA: Those preferences?
ELIAS: Yes. This is what shall generate what you term to be your happiness. You shall also recognize when you are denying your preferences, for you hesitate.
LEELA: So you say one of my truths is that I can only be happy, in my opinion, if I have an environment and individuals that I prefer around me?
LEELA: But now you say that you have to act out those preferences.
ELIAS: Allow yourself to recognize what your preferences are and what are not your preferences. What I am identifying to you is what you associate as your truth, that these requirements must be met for you to be experiencing happiness. That is your truth, but it is not true. Therefore, knowing that, recognize what your preferences are, for those preferences are very strongly associated with this truth.
Now; in recognizing what your preferences are, allow yourself to express those preferences and do not deny yourself. What you shall be doing in that action is altering your energy and altering your environment. In allowing yourself to express your preferences, you express differently, not merely in your energy but your perception also, and your perception changes your reality.
As an example, hypothetically let us express that you incorporate employment within an office. Within this office, the environment of the office itself is not aesthetically pleasing to you. It may not necessarily be your preference of a physical environment. But you incorporate choice.
Now; your choices are not so black and white as I either like this office or I do not, and if I do not, if it is not my preference, I must leave. No. Change your environment. Create it in what IS your preference.
Now; for you may actually appreciate your employment, but you are not appreciating of your physical environment.
Now; in this hypothetical scenario, let us say that you do actually appreciate what you do within your employment, but there are certain aspects of it that you are not appreciating and are not your preferences – perhaps even another individual that you interact with in association with your employment.
Now; the automatic response is to attempt to change the other individual or to wish that the other individual would change their behaviors or their expressions – which of course is futile, for you do not create their reality, but you do create how you receive energy.
Now; as you do create how you receive energy and how you manipulate that and how you project it outwardly in response, you, in paying attention to you and what you want – not what you want from the other individual, but what you want in that moment – may manipulate the energy and respond accordingly.
Another individual may be an annoyance to you, and if you are genuinely paying attention to you and inquiring of yourself “what do I want in this moment,” you may be responding to yourself “I want to be expressing pleasant conversation or interaction.” This is not dependent upon the other individual. It is what you want; therefore, you may generate that. It matters not what the other individual’s response is. But I may express to you also, in continuing to express what you want, generally speaking, you do change how the other individual responds to you also.
This is your power, of paying attention to you and directing you, not waiting for your environment or other individuals or situations or circumstances or expectations to dictate your choices to you, but to generate your own choices by directing yourself.
LEELA: When I had the happy feeling last summer, I noticed then that I was not annoyed by sounds or other people; I wasn’t. I just was. I was happy, I was confident, and it was a very different state of mind.
ELIAS: Correct. For in this situation, your attention is outside of yourself and what you are attempting to do is block out all outside stimulus in the attempt to move your attention to you. But what you are actually creating is merely annoying yourself and perpetuating the signals of uncomfortableness.
LEELA: But when I had that feeling last summer, I did not feel like I could feel otherwise than that. It was so overwhelming that other individuals or annoyances outside weren’t even important at all.
ELIAS: For you weren’t concerning yourself with them.
LEELA: No, but how come it was so overwhelming, the feeling? I felt like I couldn’t even feel different if I wanted to, I couldn’t feel annoyed if I wanted to.
ELIAS: I understand.
LEELA: Why was that feeling so overwhelming, so strong?
ELIAS: For this is the genuine appreciation of you and the genuine allowance of yourself. What generates that feeling, which is also a signal, is a communication that you are continuously expressing to yourself in validation. You are continuously validating yourself, and it generates this feeling, so to speak, the signals of empowerment, of freedom, of excitement, of happiness, of elation.
LEELA: What you are saying is that I am still doing that, that validation, validating of myself? I am still expressing that?
ELIAS: You are validating to yourself in the moment in which you interrupt this disappointment, but in the other time frameworks, you are not validating yourself. You are reinforcing discounting yourself in that disappointment, which, as we have discussed, has, in a manner of speaking, snowballed, for you have paid attention to it and reinforced it. Therefore, it has become more than mere disappointment.
LEELA: The headaches I’ve been experiencing – they began about a year ago – does it have something to do with brain activity?
ELIAS: Partially, not entirely. Partially, this is associated with what we have been discussing, which, if you are turning your attention and you are allowing yourself your freedom, that shall be quite interruptive of these headaches. Partially, there is an opening of neurological pathways, which temporarily generates some physical affectingness with most individuals.
I may express to you that is what you have been creating in movement, in the direction that you are generating which has drawn you to this conversation. For you have been generating these experiences in a movement, so to speak, towards this interaction in which you will offer yourself more clarity in information as to what you are actually doing, that you may assimilate and generate an objective understanding more clearly, which is the direction that you are moving into and which is also the reason that you have been opening neurological pathways, to be assimilating clearly and allowing yourself to move with this wave more easily.
But I may express to you that in this time framework, that action would not be creating physical affectingness. Although it continues to be generating an opening physically, it would not be creating a physical affectingness and painfulness.
LEELA: So the headaches are a signal of discounting of self?
ELIAS: Yes, generally speaking, but we have discussed much more specifically.
LEELA: Yes. Would I be able to talk with you in the same way I talk with creatures? Maybe not exactly the same way, but would I be able to close my eyes and talk with you or try to talk with you?
ELIAS: Yes. Yes.
LEELA: My intent, is that anywhere in the direction of helping people to go through the changes of the shift?
ELIAS: Partially, as we have discussed previously. And I shall allow you to be investigating this more clearly yourself.
LEELA: I wanted to ask you a question about a bird I found, but I see that it is ten minutes past the time, so...
ELIAS: Very well. I shall be anticipating our next meeting and I shall be offering you my energy in encouragement. Pay attention and allow yourself your freedom. You are quite worthy of it. (Chuckles) To you, my dear friend Sonjah, in great lovingness and affection, au revoir.
Elias departs at 3:23 PM.
