ďThe Abstractness of Objective Imagery, and Getting the MessageĒ
Participants: Mary (Michael) and Jim (Yarr).

ELIAS: Good morning!
JIM: Ah! Good morning, my friend! (Elias laughs) Having a nice day so far? (Elias laughs again) You always have good days! We all have good days. Try not to compare good and bad as much.
ELIAS: And how is your adventure proceeding?
JIM: Adventurous! (Elias laughs) Like I told Michael, I havenít tried to really hurt myself in the last couple weeks, so Iíd say thatís something! (Both laugh)
Iíd like to start off today, if we could ... last time I cut you off, I think, at a conclusion of your explanation in the abstraction, where you said the quality of abstraction creates a tremendous openness for an interpretation and a tremendous expression of changeability, therefore... And I cut you off, and I wondered if you could finish your thought on that, or if we need to even. (1)
ELIAS: Very well. I may express to you, therefore the objective expressions, the objective imagery, may be viewed as abstract, for you may incorporate countless expressions in countless manners to be offering information of the same subject to yourself.
In this, individuals are familiar with viewing objective expressions, objective imagery, as literal and absolute. You incorporate the objective imagery many times in viewing it as black-and-white and definite. You view dream imagery as abstract and symbolic, and you incorporate your thought mechanism objectively to be expressing itself in its natural function of interpretation and translation, in relation to dream imagery. But in relation to objective imagery, WAKING objective imagery, you do not allow for the same process. You do not allow your thought process to be incorporating its natural function of interpretation and translation.
In this let me express to you, my friend, the imagery that you present to yourself in dreams is objective also. The communication is subjective, but what you incorporate as imagery of dream activity is an objective translation of what you are expressing subjectively.
In waking objective expression, in viewing dream imagery you recognize the abstractness of it and you allow yourself to view beyond the imagery itself. You allow yourself to turn your attention to communications of yourself, and you allow yourself to pay attention to other expressions of yourself in relation to the abstract imagery that you have presented to yourself in dream state.
Now; in like manner, in waking state you also create continuous expressions of objective imagery, but within waking state much of your objective imagery is viewed to incorporate a solidity. Much of your objective imagery is created involving interactions with other individuals or incorporates objects of some type, be it machinery, be it electrical equipment, be it vehicles...
JIM: Or creatures. (Laughs)
ELIAS: ...creatures, vegetation. All of these things, so to speak, incorporate a solidity. They are expressed in physical matter. Therefore, in viewing your objective imagery you do not associate this in the same manner that you do with dream imagery, for you view dream imagery to be conceptual and not solid, not incorporating actual physical matter. In your interpretation of these expressions of imagery, you view them to be different. In actuality, they are not.
Objective imagery, although it is physical and incorporates matter, it is QUITE abstract. For within any moment, my friend, you may be addressing to or exploring one particular direction and subject matter, and you may be incorporating a time framework in which you express and create objective imagery in many, many, many different types of expressions that APPEAR to be unrelated to each other; but in actuality, they are different choices of objective expressions that ALL are expressions of the same subject.
You are quite creative, and I have expressed many, many times, you are also quite diverse in your expressions of creation of your objective physical reality. Therefore, you allow yourselves the diversity of expression; but this may be the presentment to yourself of many different aspects of one direction.
JIM: That makes a lot of sense, and I would like to begin to interpret my direction with all of my incidences, as I view them, of the horse, the llama, losing my balance on the tractor and hitting the ground, hitting the ground on my rollerblades, losing my balance. To me, this is all relating to an expression of balance.
ELIAS: Correct, and view the many different manners in which you incorporate imagery to yourself concerning one subject.
JIM: Yes, itís been quite diverse! (Both laugh) But fairly consistent, I guess, within the Sumafi tradition, and quite redundant in some ways. (Elias laughs)
My reluctance ... Iíve talked to people, and my reluctance to go to a chiropractor to put things back in place is not really where inwardly I feel I want to go with this. I feel that slowly I am healing myself. The pain in my neck is becoming less and less as I put less emphasis on fixing it. Itís a sign; itís an expression; it expresses.
This is the direction that Iím inwardly trying to express to myself, to do the subjective/objective thing, seeing both sides, and what Michael and I were talking about prior to our conversation in those ways. If I just went to a chiropractor and he popped things back in, I had the feeling that I would do this again because I didnít get it this time around.
ELIAS: HA HA! Very well, my friend! I am acknowledging of you in your offering of understanding to yourself, for you are correct. This is another example of what I have expressed in the analogy of incorporating the signal but not receiving the message, paying attention to the signal but not receiving the communication. (Jim laughs)
Be remembering, as I have stated, you incorporate many avenues of communication to yourself. Emotion is one, but you incorporate MANY avenues of communication to yourself. And in this, you may be offering yourself signals in any of these communications, but this is not to say that you are necessarily paying attention to the communication that you are offering to yourself.
You may be communicating through physical affectingness of your physical body consciousness, and you may be experiencing irritation or painfulness within a particular area of your physical body, and you may be noticing the signal of the irritation or the pain; but you are correct in your expression presently in recognizing that the action of fixing is merely responding to the signal and not necessarily receiving the message.
JIM: And that message being, as I see it within everything that Iím doing, to move, to pay more attention to my art, my writing, my direction of a nature path and so forth, but also accepting and relaxing in what Iím doing in the moment because that is quite beneficial as well. Itís not a matter of not doing what Iím doing and doing something else. Itís allowing whatís in front of me, to accept, I guess.
ELIAS: Very much so, my friend. For this is the key point in allowing yourself to be paying attention in the now to what you are choosing and doing now.
JIM: Okay, Iím going to continue in that direction. (Elias laughs)
Iíd like to get some clarification on the definition of ďquality.Ē You use this expression a lot, and I have my thoughts on it. Iíd like to get a short definition of when you utilize this term in conjunction with color and all the other expressions.
ELIAS: Offer your impression.
JIM: Hmm, quality: the attributes, the connection, associations with the expression...
ELIAS: Let me express to you, my friend, quality may be defined with one word: expression.
JIM: Ah, okay.
ELIAS: The quality of any aspect of consciousness, be it a color, a tone, a family, a particular energy, is the expression of it. Not necessarily an attribute, for this implies an association with good, and the qualities are neutral.
JIM: That explains a lot. Thank you.
ELIAS: You are quite welcome.
JIM: I can relate to that.
Where you went last time, the end of our session with the not expressing more on the colors of our energy centers and the organs, after I listened to that I really understood your answer and where you went with it and my own experiences of working with it. And I see now that that has an association, but itís not kind of the nitty-gritty, so to speak, of a physical expression. (2)
ELIAS: Correct, my friend, and as I have stated, the reason that I offer to you the expression that I did in our conversation is that I may be offering information to you that you may incorporate in a manner that may be beneficial to you and in which you allow yourself a clearer understanding of the concepts that I am expressing; but also recognize that incorporated within the design of your physical dimension are beliefs and belief systems. Therefore, it is quite familiar and quite easily and naturally expressed by individuals within your physical dimension to incorporate information and generate another belief concerning the information by focusing attention upon that information and associating it with the expressions of duplicity in the good or the bad, or the better or the worse.
And in this, although we are not expressing the elimination of beliefs within your physical dimension, I also am not offering information to you to reinforce what is already familiar to you and therefore perpetuate the action of automatic responses in relation to your beliefs. Therefore, in some time frameworks concerning some subject matters, I may view more of a potential for that expression to occur, and in the recognition of that choose not to reinforce the familiar movement of automatic responses.
Besides, focusing the attention upon what is being offered as a focal point rather than focusing attention upon your manipulation of it or your movement yourself is not the point. It may become, in a manner of speaking, easily expressed in consuming your attention with some expression that thusly is not expedient, so to speak, which is not the point.
As I have just stated, many individuals incorporate focal points to allow themselves to objectively direct their attention more easily in certain directions and expressions, and this may be quite beneficial to many individuals. But once the focal point becomes the consuming point of attention, it defeats the point.
JIM: Thatís somewhat where you talked ... the session I just read, in talking to Christian, at one point then the manifestation, the action begins to take ... you feel it takes on a life of its own. (3)
ELIAS: Correct, and this is the point of excessively directing your attention in one area that may not necessarily be facilitating any longer of what you wish to be expressing.
This may be viewed in many different manners. It may not necessarily be a concept; it may be an object. Individuals may incorporate cards or crystals. It may be colors or tones. It may be expressions that you create within physical body affectingness. It matters not.
Many individuals incorporate expressions of focal points to facilitate moving their attention in a focused manner in a particular direction, which is not what you would associate as negative. It is merely a directing of attention. But in a time framework in which the focal point begins to consume the attention, this becomes less facilitating, and it becomes in a manner of speaking a diversion. Some individuals incorporate the expression of fear in this manner, and in like manner to what you have expressed presently, it may be focused upon in their direction of attention to excess, in which it becomes almost an entity within itself.
Now; I am not expressing that this may not be beneficial, for as I have expressed to you many times, all that you generate is beneficial. It may not be comfortable or pleasant, but it is beneficial.
But in this, you are offering yourself information specifically to being facilitating yourself in a direction of awareness of self and not wishing to be distracting your attention in consuming it with a focal point. Are you understanding?
JIM: Yes, the coming and going of it, okay.
One last area, with Borloh and her uncomfortableness with her foot and so forth. Are she and I expressing much along the same lines in those areas?
ELIAS: In relation to balance, yes.
JIM: Yes, okay. She has different issues with that, of course.
JIM: And to move into these areas of balance would be listening more to your desires, the communication of desire and intent?
ELIAS: You may incorporate a simpler action, my friend. Rather than attempting the complicated expression of attempting to be discovering your expression of your intent and desires, and evaluating your direction of movement in a particular time framework, you may actually offer yourself the recognition of all of this information simply in paying attention in the now to what you are actually choosing and doing Ė not what you think you are doing, but what you are actually doing and choosing.
JIM: And relaxing in that and accepting that?
JIM: Whatís in front of you.
JIM: Well, thatís no fun! (Laughs)
ELIAS: HA HA HA HA! Very well. If you are so choosing, you may be incorporating fun in complicating!
JIM: Yes, we seem to! I can see that very clearly, itís to learn that. And I can see how that affects the expressions in moments. Itís great moments of, long periods of time of no discomfort and joyousness, and then Iím really beginning to see those triggers and what sets in, what begins to trigger this kind of ... the tweakness of my physical body from self. So, I shall continue. (Elias laughs)
I think thatís about all for today. I really appreciate ... weíve covered a lot of ground here I feel.
One question Iíd like to ask, if you could please offer the essence name for our friend Lynda Dahl. I would like to offer this to her, if you feel that would be okay. (Pause)
ELIAS: Let me inquire to you, has this individual requested this information?
JIM: No, they havenít, so thatís why I guess Iím a little wishy-washy on it. (Elias laughs) Weíve had many discussions on things, and sheís a wonderful, wonderful individual, and sheís really inspired a lot of thought in me. But she has, I guess, her means of information, and we all have different means of information.
ELIAS: Quite correct, my friend. And this is an opportunity for you to incorporate acceptance and to recognize your expression in this question. What is your motivation, and what are YOU expressing? For as I have offered this inquiry to you concerning whether the individual requested this information, as you are aware, I am already aware that the individual did not. (Laughs) But...
JIM: And probably a lot of my other thoughts and everything, too.
ELIAS: This is an opportunity for you to view your motivation and to be recognizing your ability to move into an expression of genuine acceptance concerning the other individual and how they choose to be incorporating information, and that it matters not. The individual is assimilating information in like manner to many other individuals, and it is unnecessary for all individuals to be incorporating information through this one energy exchange.
JIM: Thatís so totally where Iíve been going with my writings and my posts in talking to these individuals. Itís quite insightful.
Well, Iíll let you go, I guess so you can come back again! (Elias laughs) Wherever you go, youíre always here! Iím always recognizing you, always, so ... Iím always feeling your interaction, and as always I appreciate it.
