fun & pleasure!

Elias “gems”

ELIAS: “If it is not fun, do not do it! If you are incorporating action that is pleasurable to you, you are incorporating what we would express to you as value fulfillment. Your essence does not manifest for the purpose of experience for some mystical reason! Its fullest value fulfillment is expressed through pleasure. This is what your self strives toward, this being why you also incorporate positive and negative; negative being all elements that do not incorporate pleasure, positive being what you strive for, being pleasurable. This is your choice. (Pause) You may experience effortlessness and a pleasurable existence if you are fulfilling your desire. This is why I say to you, if it is not fun, do not do it!” [session 74, February 25, 1996]

ELIAS: “Pleasure within physical focus eliminates much of your thickness in energy and allows you to move much more freely through your physical focus. It is not creating conflict, and it is creating of an ease. Pleasure also lends to your acceptance of self. You equate pleasure with the idea of happiness, and if you are experiencing happiness, you are allowing yourself much more freedom and an ease within your focus, and therefore much less thickness in energy. This be the reason that I am advocating so very often of pleasure (grinning) and to be seeking out those activities or elements within your focus that offer you pleasure in your experiences, for this offers you freedoms, and you are allowing yourself to move in this direction.” [session 385, April 18, 1999]

PAMELA: “Why is this so much fun? (Elias laughs) Why is exploring so much fun?!”

ELIAS: “This is the point!”

PAMELA: “To be fun?”

ELIAS: “Yes!”

PAMELA: “Why? Why is that so important?”

ELIAS: “For it is a natural expression of consciousness. It is a natural expression of essence to be playful, and playfulness generates into fun within your physical dimension. This is your natural inclination and flow of energy, and this be the reason that it has been expressed to you all in information that the other essence has offered and I have offered also – it matters not. If you are not incorporating fun, do not generate the action any longer.” [session 992, January 22, 2002]

Elias “gems”

ELIAS: “I will say to you all, it has been said by another, in words of your time now that you may understand, ‘If it is not fun, stop it!’ (1) This would be including Elias’ sessions. If you are incorporating conflict do not incorporate Elias, for if I do not offer what you are considering to be positive or fun, then you should not be here. You should not be doing or participating in this, or in anything. If anything is creating conflict with you, or separating you from you, or creating unhappiness within you, then you should not incorporate that.

Each individual’s truth is their own. It all, in essence, is the same, but each individual manifests this truth within their reality their own way. Each individual incorporates no conflict within their own way. Each individual connects with love and joy within their own way. What may be comfortable or non-conflicting for one may be creating of conflict for another. Your focus is to focus on you. It is not important what others view of you. It is not important what others’ opinion is of you. What is important is that you are true to you, and that you are happy with that. What brings you joy is what is truth.

This also is the basis of connection of essence, for when you are connected and you are focused upon you, then you will not be incorporating judgments of others. You will not be focused upon other individuals, and viewing them, or their choices, or their situations with what you view is a right or wrong opinion. You will be accepting of another individual solely for the recognition that the other individual is experiencing their own truths, in whatever manner they need to be experiencing them in, at any given point.” [session 40, September 24, 1995]

(Vic’s note: during the break, Christie was expressing a desire to be living within natural time.)

ELIAS: (Grinning at Christie) Well, I say to you, if you are wishing natural time, (Christie laughs) if you are not experiencing fun, then do not do it!

CHRISTIE: If you’re not experiencing fun, don’t do it? What does that mean?

ELIAS: Your perception is the only element that necessitates your action, in elements that you wish not to incorporate. If you do not wish to be incorporating anything, you do not have to! (Smiling)

CHRISTIE: I have a question about natural time.

ELIAS: (Laughing) Efficiently eliminating this subject! Continue.

CHRISTIE: Okay. You mentioned for a moment about seasonal alignment, that we discount that and that we push it away. We discount this natural time, seasonal alignment. We push it away. How do we push it away, and why do we push it away?

ELIAS: You have created your cultural time; therefore, this supersedes your natural time within your perception. You have created your civilizations and your societies to be revolving around your cultural time, your ‘time slots.’ You have distorted your appreciation of time. Originally; once again, a time-oriented word; you have originally created your dimension of time for specific experiences. In your appreciation of your time element, you have chosen to be focusing upon each moment of time, with a desire to be appreciating of each moment of time. You have distorted this desire into the area of attaching a production level also to these moments of time. Therefore, to be appreciating of time, you must be utilizing time. You must be incorporating action ‘doing something’ with it.

Just as you view [that] you spend ‘quality time’ with your children, you do not view spending ‘quality time’ with your children ignoring them! You are interacting with them. You are ‘doing something’ with them. In this same way, you view that you must be interacting with time itself, placing a value on each moment. Your distortion has come by equating value with action, with productivity. You may be incorporating action, in your appreciation of time and moments, simply by noticing time itself and experiencing your time element, but this is not sufficient within your belief systems now.

Your animals do not incorporate this perception of time. You may view, within your domesticated animals, they do not incorporate time in the same fashion as you. They are not focused upon filling each moment with the production of action. They experience each moment. In this, the moments collide and intermesh with each other, being indistinguishable, one from the other. An animal does not incorporate seconds or minutes or hours, for these are unimportant. They simply experience the element of time within physical focus.

You ask, ‘How do you experience natural time?’ Allow yourself to be natural. If it is not fun, do not do it! This is why I say to you, if it is not fun, do not do it! Incorporate fun only, and you will experience natural time. (Pause) You will not do this, though! (Smiling at Christie)

CHRIS: I won’t? Don’t give me an unfulfilled ... I mean a ... Don’t say that to me! What do you mean, I will not do this though? A self-fulfilling prophecy ... I don’t want to hear that!

ELIAS: (Grinning) You incorporate a perception of ‘needs.’ You perceive your existence to be surrounded by needful demands upon your time, elements of accomplishments that must be met. Therefore, you will incorporate action, to be fulfilling of these elements, which does not incorporate fun; for you believe that necessary is more important. What you do not understand is that all that is necessary to your existence may be fulfilled in fun! (Pause)

CHRIS: So by following the feeling of the necessary things that I need to do in life, that is pretty much what has brought me to this point, of having pretty much a mediocre life.

ELIAS: Basically.

CHRIS: And in order for me to strive to not have a mediocre life, which I’m pretty darn sick of, I need to take away ... change ... shift my thinking in getting rid of the necessity things, and just do things that are fun.

ELIAS: Naturally!

CHRIS: And then this must bring in what I’ve been reading about recently, about the wisdom of uncertainty, which I find quite compelling.

ELIAS: I have also expressed that you will draw to you information that will be helpful, that you will understand and connect with, to be directing and helping you to enforce the necessary direction.

CHRIS: So this is good information that I’m reading?

ELIAS: Correct.

CHRIS: I’m being pretty unnatural to my own creativeness and desires, by doing what I’m doing every single day.

ELIAS: Correct also. You will find that when you are following your desire and your intent, you will experience the effortlessness of which I speak, and you will incorporate fun, and you also will not feel so ‘locked into’ your cultural time. This is not as easily attained, within your time period now, as it sounds; for even those who follow their individual intent and desire are quite influenced by cultural time. You may discover an occupation to which you are fulfilling your desire and your intent, but you have locked yourself into your cultural time element. You must appear on time. You must depart at a designated time. You will be incorporated with other individuals to which time is important. Unless you are removing yourself completely from this framework of cultural time, you will incorporate cultural time to some extent, although you may quite efficiently move through your focus effortlessly, and also pleasurably, and appreciating of both time elements. (Pause)

VICKI: The conflict we have with cultural time could be influenced by your perception?

ELIAS: Absolutely, but then your perception is influencing of all things. Therefore, in altering your perception, you also alter your existence. (Pause)

CHRIS: Which all of us can attain.

ELIAS: Correct, and more! (Smiling) It is only dependent upon your desire, and [your] motivation to be accomplishing.

CHRIS: Right, and my desire and motivation get tweaked when I think of having to pay the bills, and then it lessens.

ELIAS: In this, I am realizing that you look to me and express, ‘Well! Elias does not incorporate money, or housing debts, or commitments. Therefore, he is not understanding of physical focus!’ Incorrect! I have been physically manifest many, many, many times! I am quite familiar with the demands of physical focus. I am also quite familiar with the reality that through the engagement of trust within oneself, and within truth and essence, effortlessness may be achieved within physical focus, and you may acquire all that you desire pleasurably, and incorporate fun, and satisfy your ‘perceived’ physical needs! (Pause, smiling)

CHRIS: Thank you.” (Elias nods in acknowledgment) [session 74, February 25, 1996]

ELIAS: “Okay. (Grinning, and then humorously) Then we have Michael [Mary] and Lawrence [Vicki] who incorporate conflict intentionally for it is stimulating, (laughter) for it would be too boring to move through effortlessly, for they may not see their accomplishment; but if they are incorporating conflict and eliminating it, they may see their accomplishment! It all works the same, only some individuals create more difficulty, or more obvious action, to view physically. It is all the same. You all only incorporate differently. (Pause) I have also expressed to you, at our last session, that if you are not incorporating fun, then you should be discontinuing the action. If it is not fun, don’t do it! This seems to be a very blanket statement, and indeed it is; and indeed, I mean this literally!

CATHY: Does this include work? (Laughing)

ELIAS: This does!

Cathy: K. Fun jobs only!

ELIAS: This includes your entire focus!

VICKI: I can personally verify that work can be a lot of fun!

CATHY: I just bet you could! (Laughing)

VICKI: That’s an effortlessness one for me!

RON 2: That’s because you’re dealing with people, and people can be fun.

(Vic’s note: not for some people, like Cathy!)

ELIAS: And if you are not appreciating, or if you are not experiencing fun within your work, then you should not be there!

RON 2: I’m not anywhere working now! I’m having fun, to a degree.

ELIAS: Each thing that you view in your focus, if you do not believe that this is fun, then you must examine that, and you may change it; but do not be fooled, either, for oftentimes you express that you are not having so much fun, as in moving into awarenesses incorporating conflict, when in actuality moving into awareness, for some individuals, thought-focused, (looking at Vicki) is not fun if it is boring! Therefore, stimulation incorporates conflict that must be conquered, and this incorporates investigation and analyzation, and this is fun! Therefore you may sometimes say to yourselves you are not incorporating fun, but you would have things no other way for you create them intentionally, for to you it is fun!” [session 41, October 01, 1995]

ELIAS: “Presently, within this present forum, all of the individuals here belong to the essence family of Sumafi. Not all individuals belong to the essence family of Sumafi. Many individuals belong to all of the other essence families and engage this forum within audience also at times, although individuals focused presently of essences belonging to the family of Sumafi draw themselves to this forum more readily presently, in recognition in consciousness of what you in physical focus term to be ‘like-spirit’ ... although there are no spirits!

WENDY: No?? (Laughter)

ELIAS: (Grinning) Such disappointment, once again! I am so pleased with popping bubbles! (We’re all cracking up) Fun is very good! Be remembering of this! And if you are not accomplishing fun, disengage your actions!” [session 209, August 19, 1997]

ELIAS: “It is very interesting and amusing to myself that so very, very, very many individuals within physical focus automatically move themselves in the direction of what you term to be negative, and there is so very much to be experienced otherwise within excitement and wondrousness, which allows you joyfulness and fun! I am QUITE advocating of fun!” [session 294, July 01, 1998]

CAROLE: “There’s this feeling that I get a lot, as I keep learning more and more about the things that you teach us and understanding and coming to realizations by myself – this is going to be really hard for me to verbalize – and all of a sudden I feel like sometimes I’ve learned so much and I know so much and had it become a part of me that I really know it, that I’m not just trying to decide if I know it, and it almost feels like nothing that I can say is worth saying anymore. It just seems so much bigger than that. I’m not explaining it too well, but it’s like, I just feel like just quietly shutting down and living my life, because it’s way too big to say these things or anything or to try to figure out how to say it, so it seems easier not to say it, and that’s kind of where I’m at lately.

And then sometimes I just feel like, well, if I’m helping the whole of consciousness by all these things that I’ve learned and really understand, and saying it is just going to be more talk, and some people will interpret it just to be more of what they’ve read maybe in the last five books ... and then it just seems like, why am I still here? What am I still doing here?

ELIAS: This is a question that many individuals inquire within themselves. I express to you that in accomplishing within self, you may choose a direction of being the sapling. (2) In this, you continue to lend energy to the movement within this shift in consciousness.

It is not requiring of a crusade! You are not within the middle ages! We are not engaging the Crusades for Christianity! We are engaging a shift in consciousness, which is global and which moves with energy, and not necessarily in the conventional terms, so to speak. But ALL of your movements lend energy to lessening the trauma of OTHER individuals within their movements.

In this, you may choose to be moving in the direction that is offering YOU pleasure, in which YOU find comfort, and in which YOU experience what you term to be happiness – all of which is an element of your value fulfillment – and in THIS expression, you lend energy to the accomplishment of this shift.

CAROLE: So, don’t worry, be happy! (Laughter)

ELIAS: Quite! And I have expressed often, seek pleasure! For this is the natural inclination of essence, and allows you less thickness within energy and more of an ease in your movement within your focus.

Ah, but your belief systems dictate to you that pleasure is taboo, for there are many, many ‘wrongs’ surrounding much of your physical pleasures ... and your physical pleasures are certainly not very spiritual! (Grinning)

All of your focus encompasses spirituality, for spirituality is the whole of you. Denying any element of it is not experiencing all of your spirituality.” [session 347, December 11, 1998]

FRANK: “To get back to the issue [of adequacy] with other focuses, is that kind of the same issue in past life focuses also? Is that why I’m so ... like, I was trying to pursue that for a long time, I guess, to identify the focuses and find them in history ...

ELIAS: Yes.

FRANK: ... just to see what was going on there.

ELIAS: Yes. You hold your attention in this area, for you also hold subjectively a recognition of their affectingness in this focus.

This also enters the situation of your attention to certain elements – as I have expressed in this session – that you view to be lacking in this particular focus. This is the expression that you view to be missing – in your terms – your ‘split-apart.’ (3) This is quite common within physical focus and is creating also of many elements of conflict within individuals, yourself also, for this is another expression of inadequacy that you reinforce to yourself. For if you be adequate, you would be discovering your split-apart, but as you are not adequate, you are not finding this individual and allowing yourself the bliss of shared relationship. (Smiling)

I express to you that first of all, you shall be addressing to self and the acceptance of self, and in this acceptance of self, you shall draw to you other individuals which shall be allowing you the expression of relationship in the manner that you seek.

FRANK: Okay. (Pause) Alright. In going from the split-apart to specifically – and excuse my being transfixed on this one focus from the past – but the one who we identified as Lillian Buseau (4), is she a split-apart from me?

ELIAS: Yes.

FRANK: Okay. Now, on two occasions ... on one occasion I was at a plantation in New Orleans and I heard a voice which I believe was hers, and on another occasion I had a dream, which was a very lucid dream, where we actually met very, very lucidly. My question is, did we actually meet, or is that just another one of my creations, trying to get to my beliefs? Am I creating the imagery of us meeting ...

ELIAS: No. (Smiling)

FRANK: ... in the subjective, or hearing a voice?

ELIAS: In one manner of speaking, it is a translation of imagery. In another manner of speaking, it is an actual contact, so to speak, of two aspects of consciousness, yours and the expression of another essence. You may translate this contact, so to speak, into your own creation of imagery, but this is not discounting of the actual interaction which is occurring.

What I am expressing to you in this is that within your own imagery to yourself, you may present yourself with a specific image of a specific type of individual, which is your own imagery, but this is the translation element of the interaction.

This is not to say that the interaction has not occurred or that you have merely created this singularly yourself. You have engaged the interaction, and that is reality. You merely also have created your own imagery in a physical form or type of physical form.

Therefore, I express to you that within your actions in this physical focus, you may be disappointing yourself if you are looking and searching for this particular body form, for the expression of this individual may not necessarily be manifest in that particular creation of physical form.

FRANK: Right.

ELIAS: But this is not to say that that essence is not manifest and that you do not hold the ability to draw yourself to that individual focus within this now.

FRANK: Right. Okay. At first, I didn’t really particularly feel like I was searching for that physical person in this present focus. I think I felt like I wanted to subjectively have interactions with this person on like a meditative level or a dream level, just to prove to myself that I can.

ELIAS: Quite! And this offers you also an expression of safety, does it not? (Grinning)

FRANK: (Laughing) I guess so. Very sneaky of me!

ELIAS: (Chuckling) You need not be fearful of your physical expression if you are not engaging an individual physically!

FRANK: Can you express that again?

ELIAS: You need not be fearful of your physical expression or how you may be presenting yourself to another individual if you are not engaging another physical individual. Therefore, you are creating once again a very efficient protection and safety net for yourself!

FRANK: So this is not my pursuit of my spiritual abilities or my ability to transcend myself. I’m just reinforcing my belief systems.

ELIAS: You ARE offering yourself the objective awareness of your abilities within this physical focus. You ARE allowing yourself to view your ability to be accomplishing in certain actions in connecting with other elements of consciousness. But you are also simultaneously allowing yourself a safety net, and not addressing to the physical objective interaction within this focus.

Let me express to you that you yourself, as very many other individuals in like manner, express a false sense of spirituality to yourself, in moving in the direction of concentrating your attention and your energy in the expression of exploration of other aspects of consciousness and ignoring many of your objective physical aspects of your expression.

Actual, genuine spirituality encompasses ALL of your expressions, physical and non-physical, objective and subjective, belief systems and not belief systems.

FRANK: Okay....

ELIAS: Were this not so, I would not be expressing to you or to any individual to be pursuing fun and pleasure! What shall fun and pleasure matter if the expression of spirituality is not encompassing your physical objective expression? Pleasure and fun within physical focus is the experience of physical sensations!

FRANK: Right. Alright, I guess I’ve limited myself for such a long time that that was my only outlet, and I was looking for some sort of encouragement from there, I guess, to get back out.

ELIAS: Let me be encouraging to you! And I express to you, allow yourself to break free and experience pleasure and fun, and you shall also be experiencing a great liberation!

FRANK: I will be experiencing a great liberation shortly? Or upon my action of....

ELIAS: Within your pursuit of pleasure! (Grinning, and a pause)

FRANK: Okay. I was just trying to ... like what is ... pursuit of pleasure is ... what? Just being spontaneous and enjoying myself and everyone around me?

ELIAS: Pleasure is any element, any action that you view to be offering you no conflict and a stimulation that YOU identify within your belief systems as good!

Now; there are many pleasures that are stimulations of your physical senses that you also perceive to be bad, but I express to you that if you are removing the element of bad, you may view that there are many different expressions of stimulation that are pleasurable.

You, within yourself, already hold a knowing of many, many different expressions of pleasure that you may be engaging within your physical focus. This is not to say that you allow yourself the participation in these pleasures, but if you are genuinely examining within yourself, you shall hold no difficulty in identifying pleasurable activities to yourself.

FRANK: Okay. Alright, I wanted to ask you to be specific to me on those aspects, but I guess maybe I should do that myself?

ELIAS: I have been specific with you in the area of the aspects of these belief systems that you are engaging battle with within yourself, and in this, as you allow yourself to be reconnecting with this particular session, you may be more efficiently identifying these aspects of belief systems to yourself.

Be remembering that much of the interaction that we hold together within the forum of these sessions is occurring subjectively. This be the reason that you hold difficulty in the objective remembrance of all that is offered to you within this forum.” [session 371, March 12, 1999]

End Notes:

(1) Paul’s note: while this is certainly perennial wisdom, Seth/Jane Roberts used a saying similar to this often in ESP classes.

(2) Paul’s note: a reference to the “straight little sapling” allegory that Elias often refers to when he discusses our need to trust, accept, take full responsibility for only ourselves.

Digests: find out more about the sapling story.

(3) Paul’s note: the concept of “split-aparts” is credited to the Greek Philosopher, Plato, who lived from 427 – 347 B.C. According to Plato’s creation story in the Symposium, the original human was a singular being – a perfect being that had the gender characteristics of both male and female. This perfect being was “split apart” into separate genders, and these split-aparts have been seeking each other out in order to regain their sense of perfect union ever since.

“Each of us when separated, having one side only ... is but the indenture of a man, and he is always looking for his other half.”
Symposium – Plato, 360 B.C.

The idea of “split-aparts” forms the basis for the New Age concept of soul mates, or two people perfectly suited to create a fulfilling relationship.

Digests: find out more about soul mates.

(4) Paul’s note: Frank refers to Lillian Buseau, a woman he knew in a previous lifetime that was identified by Elias during an earlier unrecorded session. The correct name was later identified as Lillian Bodreaux (see session 788, February 25, 2001). The following is Frank's account of his connection with this past life and how it relates to issues in this one:

The first time I went to New Orleans, I experienced the familiarity similar to what others describe as déjà vu. Upon my return, I called a friend of mine named Brenda (essence name Michele) who is not presently involved with this forum. I lovingly call her a “witch” since she’s a psychic.

As I was describing my visit to a plantation, known as Oak Alley, she stopped me and said I had someone with me, someone who ‘attached’ herself to me when I was there. While I understood the symbolism, I liked the idea and went with it. She said the woman’s name was Lillian, Lil for short. We were all together in New Orleans in a “past” life.

In a session I had with Elias which was not recorded, he verified that there was a connection, and the name was Lillian Bodreaux. We had two focus together in New Orleans udring the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as several others in France. The last focus in New Orleans is like a chapter focus for me, the issues are the same.

Before this session, it should be noted that upon my second visit to New Orleans, I returned to the plantation on Halloween Night at 2am, through the swamps and the fog, still in my colonial costume from the Anne Rice Ball. I walked the grounds under the huge oaks and around the building. As I was leaving, I heard a voice in a loud whisper call my name, “FFRRRAANNKKK.” It was excellent! I looked around for a visual, saw nothing, but felt very satisfied (I was alone during this experience, some 60 miles upriver along the Mississippi).

Elias confirmed that this was representative of an energy exchange between myself and Lillian Bodreaux. I was just happy with the drama of it! He also told me that I was addressing issues of loyalty toward her, and in general, which is partly the reason I have not committed too intimately with many folks in this focus. I found this fascinating.

Though this became an obsession with someone I had not met in this focus, I had to let it go somewhat, something I still work on. But I did need to meet her, and often requested to do so through Brenda and myself, for her to appear somehow and make connection with me, again.

So one day, during Easter of 1999, I had a dream and Lillian came to me in the cushioned “safety” of my living room at my Long Island house. As lucid as lucid could be, she made a grand entrance into my living room, dressed in a white lace southern belle gown of exquisite design. She asked me if I knew who she was, and I did. She sat right next to me with her hand out. I noted the lace upon lace integration of the fabric of her sleeve which ended at her hand and had a white strand which extended out and looped over her index finger.

I noted that her voice was not the expected southern drawl, but a very properly spoken annunciated version of American English. Her face was not that of a Scarlet O’Hara, but of someone who could be from New York or Brooklyn, but she was very beautiful nonetheless. I noted all of this as we spoke, and then the memory faded.

Almost one year later to the day at a party for my Friends father in Queens, I met someone. She spoke in the fashion described and looked exactly like the dream image. A day or so later, I was thinking about her, and heard the words of my friend complimenting her on the way she spoke and made his name sound so good and official.

And then it clicked, she was Lillian! I had to sit down. I finally met her, though briefly. She’s a jazz singer, actress, and part-time teacher at a city university for foreign language.

My health being the way it was, I did not dare to meet her. This may happen sometime during this summer of 2002, as things are much better now. And that’s the story. So it goes…

Added December 31, 2002:

Farewell to You, Lillian Bodreaux
A soulmate saga
By Frank Moscati

On melancholy days
Through history’s veiled haze
I called out to you in anticipation

The magnolia breeze
Through familiar oak trees
Elms bowed to conceal my fixation

Memories trickle down
Over blood soaked ground
Sifting for visions lost, yet enduring

Would we meet up again
On a city street or a train
The hope was always reassuring

The familiar look of your face
In a dream’s vision placed
The quest was illusive, yet alluring

The glow of you cheek
And the way you would speak
But the ship was already breaking from its mooring

Now all that has past
The reconciliation at last
It was you in dark times
Who kept me going

I love you for that
And I tip to you my hat
Sensation without translation, overflowing.

While on a Cliff high
Sappho contemplated life
Our first encounter, the final one, so sublime

We are released now it seems
Fallen from the heights of the esteemed
I’ve never felt so alone, ...in “time.”

I see only ‘angels in the mirror’
As life becomes clearer
Imperfect visions of you, in my mind

As bonfires burn bright
On Christmas eve night

My memories will not soon fade

Of revolution’s chaotic days
And stern Creole ways
A meeting by chance
The art of formal dance

Water rising the levee would not degrade

With Fashion held high
I fell from the sky
The crash to break my trance

Loyalties disarmed
I still find myself charmed
The waiting, ...overstating the romance

Through mud waters I waded
With experience unpersuaded
Absolutes dissolve allowing advance

Though kind warnings were not heeded
The encounter was superceded
For there was nothing more, at this time, to enhance

The voodoo beat and bayou heat
The boatman calls to me to row
As the new year rings in
With the shift still in spin
I know now, ...I must let you go

And though I remain weary,
I will cherish you sincerely

Farewell to you,
     Dearest Lillian Bodreaux.
