“Fear and Anger”
“Subtle Communications and Expressions”
Participants: Mary (Michael) and Letty (Castille)
Elias arrives at 10:30 AM. (Arrival time is 27 seconds.)
ELIAS: Good morning!
LETTY: Good morning, Elias! (Elias chuckles) It’s so great to hear your voice again!
ELIAS: And what shall we be discussing this morning?
LETTY: Well, we shall be discussing my fears and my anger in my dream state.
LETTY: A few weeks ago, I had a terrible ... well, I considered it a terrible dream at the time because it woke me up with a lot of fear, and the dream was about anger. I was extremely, extremely angry at something or someone, and there were all these faces. They were just heads, whether they were dolls or dummies I’m not sure. They were not real people, but I was trying to destroy them, hitting them, and the energy was quite powerful. I felt it still when I woke up, but the minute that I woke up, I felt fear! I was scared!
Interestingly enough, I’m going to connect it, I think, with a dream I had about a week later or so, where there was a lot of fear also. I walked into a room that seemed like my bedroom. There were two windows on either side of the room, and both of them had been broken into. And going through this thing that I created for myself last month, trying to understand ... I still think that I’m fighting myself with trying to overcome this quote/unquote “victimization” of myself; and at the same time, the discounting of myself is connected with the anger.
LETTY: How can I get out of that track, Elias? (Laughing)
ELIAS: And are you recognizing that the expression of anger is quite related to the expression of fear?
LETTY: Umm, not exactly.
ELIAS: In this, Castille, the expression of anger is created in relation to the fear, for the fear expresses an influence within you of denying your choices and creating this expression of being a victim of yourself; and the expression of anger is also a communication concerning your denial of your choices in which you express a helplessness or a powerlessness.
Let me express to you, anger – the expression of the emotional communication of anger – is an extreme expression related to frustration. Frustration is an emotional communication that you offer to yourself within a moment, recognizing that you hold choices, but not allowing yourself objectively to view those choices. Therefore, the emotional communication of frustration is not yet a communication concerning denying yourself choice.
But as that movement of what you are creating escalates, in a manner of speaking, and you move yourself from the position of recognizing that you hold choices but not allowing yourself objectively to identify what those choices are in a particular situation, you intensify your own expression, which alters it into the expression of no longer viewing that you hold choices at all, and this creates the emotional communication of anger.
It is yourself offering you a communication more strongly, that you have now moved into a position of denying yourself choice, and have created an expression within yourself in which you view yourself to be powerless or helpless; and therefore, you are associating yourself with the role of the victim, which is also an expression of fear. (Pause)
LETTY: Is there a reason why I’m doing this, Elias?
ELIAS: I may express to you that you are offering yourself imagery that you may allow yourself to be paying attention to yourself and your own communications more closely.
As you create imagery within your dream activity that appears to you to be more extreme, you gain your attention and you allow yourself to be paying attention more closely to what you are creating within your objective waking state that may, to you, appear to be expressed more subtly. But as you have presented yourself with this imagery in an intensity, you have allowed yourself to draw your attention to yourself once again.
Now; within your objective imagery, the expression of anger may be created more subtly, and may be expressed more closely associated with the communication of frustration, and therefore is requiring a closer view within your attention to allow you to be recognizing the moments in which you have actually moved your expression from frustration into anger.
LETTY: Is it just kind of circling around to the fact that in the discounting of myself, this frustration I still feel is that I’m not creating quote/unquote “better” or differently?
ELIAS: Not necessarily, Castille. This is not necessarily a movement which is motivated by a discounting of yourself. Rather, you are presenting this type of imagery to yourself to allow yourself a more fully expressed recognition of your own creations, and therefore allowing yourself to become more familiar with your creations and your communications to yourself.
In actuality, rather than an expression of discounting of yourself, you offer yourself this imagery to be allowing yourself the opportunity to validate yourself.
LETTY: Oh! So, it’s really an explanation of understanding how I create.
ELIAS: Yes. Let me express to you, this is movement in what may be termed figuratively as a more intimate layer of your relationship with yourself.
LETTY: Oh! Thank you, I feel better! (Elias chuckles) As better goes, huh? (Elias laughs)
(Laughing) Wow! Actually, I was trying to relate it to the discounting of myself, and I had this example that I wanted to talk to you about. In order to help me understand the imagery that I’ve been creating in communication from my last session, I kept thinking about it, and I read a transcript – I think it was with Lawrence – that you were talking to her in regards to encountering other individuals’ energy through our own perception and our own creation of that individual. (1)
LETTY: So in my example, Cindel, who has wonderful feelings for me, sometimes I kind of want to reject them. She praises me, and I don’t want to hear it because ... I don’t know. At that point, when I realize I’m starting to pay attention that she’s doing that to me, I try to block because I feel inadequate and she’s praising me!
ELIAS: Correct, and this is your opportunity once again to be paying attention to your own communications and recognizing the movement of energy – HOW you create your reality.
In this, you have offered yourself an example of what I have expressed in this explanation of the movement of energy. Another individual projects an energy to you, and you may receive that energy; but you also, through the influence of your own associations and beliefs within the moment, may reconfigure that energy. You may infuse your own associations and beliefs in that expression of energy, and therefore subsequently project outwardly the creation of your perception.
Now; in situations such as this, as you may recognize within your own experience and your own expressions, an individual may be expressing a projection of energy; you receive that energy. You reconfigure that energy infusing it with your own beliefs, your own association and assessment of yourself, and at times you create an outward projection through your perception of this individual of Cindel, and what you view is an expression of condescendingness.
I may express to you, this is a fine example of how individuals alter the expression of energy from each other and create the projection of the other individual through their own perception, formatted, so to speak, in alignment with their own viewing and assessment of themselves. Therefore, in some situations – in many situations – it matters not what is being expressed by the other individual.
LETTY: It’s how we interpret it or perceive it.
Now; as you may be recognizing in my offering of information to Lawrence, many, many times you do create your own projection of the individual through your perception very similar to the projection of energy that has been offered by the other individual, and you do not reconfigure the energy in noticeable expressions.
But as I have also expressed, as you project your perception of the other individual, you do immediately offer yourself information as to how you have altered the configuration of energy and how you have influenced your perception and its projection. For the expression that you create shall appear different from the expression of the other individual, and you do hold an awareness of the differences of the expressions for you do offer yourself information which identifies to you objectively the differences of the perceptions.
LETTY: Is that why when I was in my relationship with Leezar, but still trying to pay attention to myself, I did recognize that sometimes I ... at one point, the familiar was judging him on his actions toward me. At the same time, I realized or I recognized – I guess I want validation of this, Elias – that actually I was also reflecting myself to my perception of his creations. I’m not sure if I’m making sense.
ELIAS: Yes, I am understanding, and I shall offer you a validation in your recognition of the interaction and the exchange, and I shall express to you, the interaction and the projection of energy is not a movement in one direction.
What I am expressing to you is that it is not merely a situation in which one individual is projecting energy and one other individual is receiving that energy. It is occurring in both directions simultaneously. Therefore, yes, you each are reflecting to each other yourselves.
LETTY: In our perceptions of ourselves.
LETTY: That’s where conflict begins many times!
ELIAS: Yes, and much of your conflict is initiated in your resistance to be paying attention to what YOU are creating, and projecting your attention outwardly in your perception of what the other individual is creating. You focus your attention upon the difference. This creates the automatic expression of threat, and you react.
LETTY: And become defensive.
LETTY: And yet I’m becoming defensive to myself!
LETTY: If you could help me incorporate into this ... I can’t remember exactly which transcript, but you talked about paying attention to the motivation, the motivation of why we are creating ... sometimes I take things too literal, and then I get myself all wound up! (Laughing)
ELIAS: (Chuckling) I am expressing to you to allow yourself to examine your motivation in WHAT you are creating. For in this, you allow yourselves to pay attention to all that you are creating and, in a manner of speaking, the process.
As you begin questioning your motivation in relation to WHAT you are expressing, WHAT you are creating, you begin allowing yourself to examine what is influencing your perception. What is your expression of fear? What are you expressing to yourself that you cannot create? What are you expressing to yourself in your denial of your own choices? What motivates that movement into the denial of your choices?
Many times, quite simply, the motivation in the denial of your own choice is expressed in the influence of your belief that other individuals hold the ability to dictate your reality to you.
LETTY: I was thinking about trying to figure out what motivates! I am allowing too much influence from the outside, outside of myself, and not giving myself the power I really do have.
ELIAS: In a manner of speaking, yes. For in this, as you allow yourself to be paying attention to your own communications, you may allow yourself the recognition of your motivation, and in that recognition you shall begin allowing yourself to view how you create this action of powerlessness or helplessness.
Let me express to you that many times you do not allow yourself to view how you have created those expressions, and they are not overtly expressed within your objective awareness. They are more subtly expressed, and therefore you easily move your attention to not be noticing what you are creating within your own expressions, for your attention is held outwardly in relation to the choices of another individual.
Many of these interactions and these communications that you offer to yourself you may assess as being quite small or quietly expressed. But let me express to you that each time you are not paying attention to your own communications and you are allowing yourself to deny your own choices as influenced by your belief that other individuals hold the ability to dictate to you, and therefore you allow this type of expression to occur, you reinforce your own helplessness and victimization of yourself; and as you continue to reinforce that expression and association within yourself in movements that you assess to be small or insignificant, you contribute to the strength of your own powerlessness.
LETTY: And objectively I understand that, but somewhere down the line I’m not assimilating it, or not believing myself. Is it because my belief is so strong?
ELIAS: Your beliefs ARE quite strong, as are all other individual’s within your physical dimension. And in this time framework, as you continue to be addressing to duplicity in this wave in consciousness, you also offer yourself more examples of the strength of your beliefs and an objective realistic recognizing of how influencing your beliefs are in relation to your perception.
LETTY: Yes, which creates my reality.
LETTY: Wow! There’s a powerful energy!
ELIAS: Let me express to you, this is movement now in this time framework in which, as I have stated, you allow yourself to be creating more of a familiarity in a more intimate layer of your own expressions, therefore allowing yourself to become more objectively clear and allowing yourself a keener awareness of all of your movements.
I may be expressing to you, you may engage an interaction with another individual, hypothetically, that you view to be as insignificant as a difference of expression or a disagreement of expression of interacting with each other, deciding upon a particular time framework in which to engage an activity such as consuming coffee together within your work place. Another individual may express an invitation to you to engage this activity and may suggest to you a particular time to be incorporating that action, and you, in the moment, may recognize your expression inwardly of disagreement concerning not the activity, but the time framework.
Now; you may view this to be an insignificant exchange, an insignificant action; it matters not. You may view it to be a very small exchange of energy between yourself and another individual. But within the moment that you create the disagreement, you also set into motion within self, in a manner of speaking, a series of movements which influence your perception and therefore influence your response.
In this, if you are not recognizing your own communication to yourself and acknowledging of that, you may create a movement in response to the other individual denying your own communication, and you may express to the other individual, “Yes, very well, we shall engage this activity in the time that you have expressed.”
Now; in this very small exchange that you view to be insignificant, in that one action you have denied your choice, you have denied your expression of communication to yourself, you have created a discounting of yourself, and you have reinforced your association within yourself that other individuals may dictate to you your choices and your reality.
LETTY: Oh, what an excellent example!
ELIAS: In this time framework, Castille, you and many other individuals are allowing yourself the awareness objectively of a deeper layer of your own expressions, and in that action, you are allowing yourself movement into a clearer understanding and recognition of your objective expressions of your perceptions, recognizing more clearly how you create your reality through your automatic associations, and therefore you allow yourself choice. (Pause)
LETTY: We think we’re giving the power to the other individual, therefore we feel powerless.
ELIAS: Correct. In actuality, you are not offering or giving what you term to be power to another individual, and the other individual is not dictating your reality. You are denying your choice, you are creating automatic responses, and you are creating an expression of powerlessness or victim within yourself; and this is motivated by your association and alignment with your individual beliefs. It is motivated by your assessment of yourself, your viewing of yourself, your discounting of yourself. It is motivated by influences of your beliefs of how other individuals shall perceive you and how you wish to be perceived by other individuals, for this is the manner in which you offer yourself validation rather than validating yourself, and it is motivated by holding your attention outside of yourself and not listening to yourself.
This is not to say that even within our example of the interaction that you may view to be insignificant that you shall alter your objective outward expression. I am not expressing to you that you may necessarily be expressing to the other individual, “No, I wish not to be participating in the action of consuming coffee with you in this time framework, but perhaps another time framework.” This is not what I am expressing to you. You need not alter your objective expression; perhaps you shall engage that activity within the time framework which is expressed by the other individual.
But what holds significance in this scenario is that you allow yourself to acknowledge your communication to yourself, that you allow yourself a recognition of your communication and that you allow yourself choice, that you are not moving into the automatic response but that you offer yourself the freedom to be creating your choice.
LETTY: And my choice may be that even though at first I disagree, it matters not, so that’s why it would be okay to ... if I’ve recognized all this through me, it’s still okay to have coffee with the person at that time.
LETTY: It’s going through the process.
ELIAS: For, the objective imagery matters not. It is the recognition of your allowance of yourself to be creating your choice, and therefore not creating the association within yourself of helplessness. And therefore you offer yourself freedom, and you remove the limitation upon yourself and you also validate yourself, and you lessen your association that other individuals may be dictating to you your reality.
Choice is neutral. This is not what is significant. The allowance to be creating the choice objectively is what holds significance, for you are always creating choices. The point of this movement is that you allow yourself the objective awareness of your choices, and not continuing to be expressing the automatic response which limits your choices.
In this, as I have stated, the objective imagery matters not. Whether you choose to be engaging the activity of participating in interaction with the other individual or not is not the point. The point is that you allow yourself the recognition of your own communications, and therefore allow yourself to create objectively the choice that you want.
LETTY: I think I’ve practiced both ways, in actually giving myself the choice and then not giving myself a choice this past weekend with Leezar and his children when I was at the park.
LETTY: There were times when I did realize that I did have a choice, and somehow I did create that choice, what I really wanted to do. I wasn’t sure how; I was still trying to think that they were doing it for me (Elias chuckles), but it really did happen. And there were times when I really did feel myself pressured into doing what I felt I had to do to please them and validate myself, so they would like me.
LETTY: Wow! I definitely give myself objective imagery quite often...
ELIAS: Yes, you do.
LETTY: ...more than I realize.
ELIAS: Yes, you are correct. As I have stated many times, your reality is not hidden from you. You offer yourselves opportunities and examples continuously.
LETTY: We ARE wondrous people, Elias! (Laughing)
ELIAS: HA HA! Indeed you are!
LETTY: Yes, and what power we have...
ELIAS: Quite! (Chuckling)
LETTY: ...recognizing that it’s ours, not somebody else’s power over us.
LETTY: Oh, this has been so, so helpful! Now I need to digest and assimilate and meditate and whatever it takes (laughs and Elias laughs), because I do want to feel and understand the communications that I’ve been giving myself.
ELIAS: This shall be very influencing of the movement of your perception.
LETTY: Actually, I had a question about kind of practicing your perception. Sometimes I will stare at a picture or even just stare at something, and I actually see it forming into something else, changing completely, nothing to what it is. Would this be a practice of altering perception also? I mean, this is just viewing it, but is it related?
LETTY: Oh, okay. Because I do that a lot; I’ve been doing that all my life.
ELIAS: In this, you offer yourself examples in the ease of altering your perception. In actuality, the action of altering your perception is not difficult. It becomes difficult as you complicate your viewing and assessment of situations.
As you move away from the simplicity of the scenario, so to speak, and you begin complicating your reality, you also incorporate challenge and more difficulty in attempting to move or alter your perception. But you also, as you are aware, allow yourself examples in which you may quite easily and effortlessly alter your perception, at times in what you may view to be extremes.
LETTY: Yes, the belief of it being hard or very difficult.
LETTY: Well, my time’s almost up, but I forgot to ask you one quick question. I think it’s all related, and I’m beginning to understand this. Last week, or the last couple of weeks, I created a lot of pain in my head, but interestingly enough, it shifted: left side, right side, all sides. I feel like part of it is opening of my periphery, because I am being more aware when I am paying attention to myself objectively, but is this also just to remind me to pay attention? (Elias nods throughout)
ELIAS: I may express to you, you have offered this physical affectingness to yourself quite in conjunction with this subject matter of altering your perception.
LETTY: Hmm! Okay.
ELIAS: For in this, you express to yourself that the expression of pain has shifted from one area to another. In actuality, your perception alters and therefore creates the recognition of the pain in different areas.
LETTY: Oh! So I could interpret it as a good pain! (Laughs with Elias)
Elias, as always you have been tremendously, tremendously helpful.
ELIAS: You are very welcome, my friend.
LETTY: I need to practice, practice; but I am excited ‘cause it sounds ... I’m trying to remember also to incorporate fun.
ELIAS: Yes! Playfulness may be incorporating much more of an ease, and may be helpful to you in the lack of complication. (Chuckles) Therefore, I am quite encouraging of this type of movement in fun and playfulness.
LETTY: Yes, I also need to start practicing that in my dream state. (Laughs) I’m too intense!
ELIAS: Ha ha ha ha ha! I may express to you, you create the imagery within your dream state many times that you may allow yourself less of an intensity within your waking state. Therefore, you have created an efficient movement in this type of expression.
LETTY: Well, yes, especially after the dreams I have! (Both laugh) I am very thankful to myself! (Elias chuckles) Well, thank you, Elias.
ELIAS: You are very welcome, Castille. I shall be anticipating our next meeting and our discussion of your further adventure in your sojourn! Ha ha!
LETTY: (Laughing) Thank you!
ELIAS: And the examination of the challenges that you present to yourself! (Laughs) I express great encouragement to you, my friend, and as always, I offer to you a tremendous affection. To you this morning, au revoir.
LETTY: Au revoir.
Elias departs at 11:27 AM.
