probable selves

Elias “gems”

ELIAS: “You hold many, many, many, underline, aspects of essence, more than you may count. There are intersections and interactions occurring continuously with you each from these aspects of essence. They may be alternate selves and their interactions, which we have discussed. They may be probable selves. They may be other aspects of energy within your essence, manifest for helpfulness within a specific situation. Your essence is focused upon you completely, as it is with all of its focuses.” [session 133, November 17, 1996]

ELIAS: “Probable selves are created within choices that appear to you in your focus as being more extreme. When you are choosing a different direction in your attention than you have chosen previously, or an altering choice of your focus, you automatically create probable selves. Now; be understanding that as you create a probable self scenario, you are not creating of merely one probable self. You are creating multiple probable selves that shall be experiencing all of the alternate choices that you have not chosen to actualize within the framework of this officially accepted reality.

“An example of this action which has been partially stated previously would be to view yourself throughout your focus. As you are choosing to be attending a specific school, you create probable selves which move in different directions. As you attend a school, you create probable selves that do not attend a school. As you move into different relationships, you create probable selves. As you move away from different relationships, you create probable selves. Each decision or choice that you choose throughout your focus which may appear to you as an alteration in your direction, in ANY direction, this action is creating of probable selves which also move in alignment with yourself, although holding independence and free will and the ability of choice within themselves, once created.

“There is an element of the existence of these probable selves that follows you and your existence. This is not to say that this may not be altered by the probable self or by influence of another individual. These probable selves may be accessed. You may interact with them. You may be encountering of them, given that you allow yourself the ability to be interactive objectively with them.” [session 269, March 19, 1998]

JOE: “These energy centers, these chakras, which I was going to explore with you further today but I got off on this tangent of mine, does the central focus and all of the probable focuses rely on the same energy centers, or do each of the probable or alternate selves have their own energy centers?”

ELIAS: “Each probable self incorporates its own energy centers. Each alternate self incorporates the same energy centers as you recognize.”

JOE: “Okay, so the same energy centers that I have would also be affective of all alternate selves, but probable selves are actually almost – I don’t know if this is the right term – a fragmentation that have their own energy centers.”

ELIAS: “Figuratively speaking, yes, although they are not fragmented.”

JOE: “Yes....”

ELIAS: “I am understanding of your meaning in your terminology.”

JOE: “Okay. I know what I’m trying to say, but trying to come up with the right vocabulary sometimes is a little tough.”

ELIAS: (Laughing) “Ah, the limitations of physical language!”

JOE: “Yes, indeed. (Elias chuckles) And I think even a mastery of it, even a total mastery of it, would be totally limiting too.”

ELIAS: “You are correct.” (Chuckling) [session 758, January 14, 2001]

ELIAS: “As I have expressed previously, alternate selves are numberless but they are all you; they are all the you’s of you in a particular focus. Probable selves are generated within moments of what you may term to be intense choice, almost in what you may express as crossroad choices.

“In every moment that you generate a choice which creates a direction, you also generate countless probable selves. If you choose to be moving your physical location, at the moment that you generate that choice and move your physical location you also generate countless probable selves to be expressing all other probabilities in association with your one choice to move your physical location of your dwelling, so to speak. This is an example of how you generate probable selves. As you choose one mate, you also generate countless probable selves that choose other expressions.” [session 1018, February 25, 2002]

Elias “gems”

ELIAS: “Consciousness is highly creative. You are conscious energy, and have created these extensive dimensions of self quite creatively. They are ultimately intricate. Your scientists view your physical brains. The millions of nerve endings contained within this physical brain are dwarfed in comparison to what you create within consciousness, and the complexity with which you create each focus.

The intersections of probable selves, as I have stated, are recognized. You do not understand what you are recognizing, but they are consciously recognized. You may experience this within physical feelings. You may experience this within emotions. You may also experience this intersection within tremendous bursts of creativity. Each time you experience an inspiration, you experience an intersection of yourself and a probable self.” [session 111, August 11, 1996]

ELIAS: “At our last ‘regularly scheduled’ session, (grinning) we were discussing probabilities and probable selves. As I have expressed, this is a difficult subject. In continuing this subject matter of probable selves, I wish to express to you that you view only one aspect of the entirety of your essence consciousness. We have reserved expression in this direction, for the reason of not wishing to be confusing you within certain elements which may threaten your particular idea of your identity.

I have expressed to you the intersections of probable selves that you hold, but I also express to you that you yourselves are probable selves. In this, understand that this does not ‘take away from’ the vitality or the reality of your individual expression, for you are individuals and you possess your own creativity; although you are also a probable self to another focus or aspect of your essence. In this, when you are choosing to be disengaging from physical focus, you are not ‘absorbed into’ the essence whole, but in another respect, you are. You do not lose your individuality of this particular focus, although you do allow for a wider awareness, which may include all of your focuses. In this, the action of mergence is an expression that, in similarity to physical focus, you view different qualities of your being; different expressions of yourself.

Within non-physical, your awareness is wide enough to encompass all of the facets of your essence, to which you will view this particular focus as one expression of yourself. Presently, you view this one focus as the entirety of yourself. You view your identity, within this one focus, as being the entirety of you. This is only one probable action of essence. Intersections of other facets or developmental focuses of you are slightly different in expression than intersections occurring with present, or what you view to be present, probable selves.

As we were expressing previously, there are pools of consciousness. Each of you aligns with your own pool of probable selves within consciousness. These are all probable actions that you limit yourself to within each focus, to be intersecting with and connecting within the action of movement of probabilities within your particular focus or present ‘lifetime.’ As we have expressed, all things are probabilities. All action is a probability. This is not limited to only physical focus and your manifestations. All action of all consciousness is a probability, for there are always choices within any given action. In this, we have spoken many times of probabilities being actualized everywhere. Each probability that you do not choose is also actualized within another area of consciousness.

Now, some probabilities are actualized physically. Some probabilities are not actualized physically. In this, you may view that developmental focuses of yours are also probable selves being actualized within physical manifestations. These are actualized within different time elements, but they are also actualized physically. Other probable selves are actualized also, but do not manifest within physical focus. Those probable selves, for the most part, which you align with within a particular focus are all actualized, but not necessarily physically. Therefore, each choice throughout your focus that you choose to manifest provides many avenues of other choices which are not actualized within this physical focus, but are actualized within consciousness, within another dimensional area of consciousness; this being one of the reasons that I make a distinction between intersections of probable selves which you view to be other focuses, and those which you ‘think of’ as connected with an individual focus; for those within developmental focuses are actualized physically.

Therefore, within one respect, speaking in relation to yourself, they are not you. They are, in another respect, you, within your thinking, for you think in terms of time. Time is an intricate part of your creations. Therefore, what you create within physical focus is related to time for your understanding. Therefore, you may view other focuses as past or future lifetimes, viewing these to be aspects of yourself, or events and occurrences within a time period of yourself. In actuality, they are elements of your essence to which you identify, and you also hold all of the essence information within your individual focus consciousness. So within one respect, they are part of you, but as I have expressed previously, they are also independent of you. They do not exchange places with you ... although they may! (Grinning) Generally speaking, you do not choose this action, although it is possible. You choose, for your own understanding of your own self-identity, to continue your focus within one directed attention. In this, you view no interruption. Your time element appears smooth and consistent to you, although in reality, it is not; for you are continuously blinking in and out, connecting with other focuses, experiencing other focuses.

The purpose for this information is to allow you to think of essence. You, within one focus, are not the entirety of essence. You are also the center of essence, just as each focus is the center of essence; but were you to allow yourself the opportunity to be physically meeting with your other facets of essence, they would present themselves to you viewing you as the probable self, a past or future, and to them, you would be appearing to be ‘less real,’ just as they appear to you, within your periphery, as being ‘less real,’ or removed from your immediate experience.

These are difficult areas to be engaging, within your understanding and your language attachment to concepts. Therefore, as I have stated previously within our sessions, we shall be moving quite slowly with this particular information. We have moved into areas of discussion previously, to which we were quite understanding that you were not understanding! This has been offered purposefully. This particular information holds elements that will be beneficial to you presently, within your present interaction physically. This information is pertinent to your everyday life, for you engage probabilities and intersections every day. Although you do not always recognize the intersections, you do recognize, presently, the action of probabilities. Even within this knowledge, you do not, in actuality, focus upon your action of probabilities. You do not concentrate on each probability that you engage within your waking time period, which there may be hundreds; for every moment of your existence engages probabilities. Each moment that you choose to engage your physical body and draw another breath, you have created a choice of a probability to continue within physical focus.” [session 113, August 18, 1996]

ELIAS: “We have been discussing probabilities. I have expressed that you view only one line of probabilities. You engage, automatically, many probabilities that you do not recognize, within many layers of consciousness. You may physically engage in an action and believe, within your thought process, that you engage this action for one reason; this being one actualization of one probability. Simultaneously, many probabilities are being actualized. You think in terms of probabilities being actualized simultaneously within only other dimensions. In actuality, you actualize many probabilities and set into motion many probabilities simultaneously, within this dimension and time period, within different layers of consciousness. You only do not realize what you are doing.

I have expressed many times, the desire is great. Michael [Mary] is aware of this desire. He is unaware of how he actualizes many of his probabilities, as are you all unaware objectively, for you think selectively. (Pause) Your desires will be actualized. If you engage probabilities and you move to what you view to be the farthest point that you may actualize, you will creatively, within consciousness, seek out other probabilities to move through. What you view to be a ‘block point,’ in actuality serves to be your motivation point; this being why I expressed to you of your structure and your blocks as not being blocks, for in actuality, they are elements of your structure. They are probabilities. They do not, in actuality, realistically, block you from ‘something,’ although you perceive this to be the case. They serve as motivation for your creativity. (Pause) You become inventive if you believe yourself to be blocked. You allow a greater expression of creativity. (Pause)

CATHY: I can’t even formulate a question! It just seems like with all these probable selves and probabilities, how the hell do we create our own reality then, if we’re all connected? (Laughing)

ELIAS: (Smiling) This being why I have expressed to you that within this discussion of probabilities, there is an element that may be confusing, and what you view to be threatening to your personal identity. I express to you, these elements of information offered shall serve to be helpful in widening your perception. Presently, if you are experiencing confusion of self, do not concern yourself with probable selves; for be remembering, you are the center.

CATHY: Of the probable selves, with the line that goes through. It’s all connected up with everything else, right? (Laughing)

ELIAS: Correct! (Grinning)

CATHY: That’s what I thought you were going to say! Okay.

ELIAS: But you, as you perceive yourself to be, are the creating center. You create your reality; this probable self, Catherine [Debbie].” [session 117, September 01, 1996]

(Vic’s note: Elias departs at 10:08 PM., and pops back in at 10:38 PM. Again, pop-ins usually begin mid-sentence, whenever somebody remembers to turns on the recording equipment. Here, Elias is directing to our conversation about probable selves, and specifically to Norm.) (1)

ELIAS: “The energy of a probable self is not absorbed by remaining probable selves. You are a probable self, as are all other selves. Each is a probable self to each other. Each is its own manifestation. Each holds its own reality. One is not reality, and all others imaginary. They are all reality. They are all independent, in a fashion. They are all individual creations. They are all energy, as you are energy. If you are a probable self, which you are, when you die, are you absorbed to the other probable selves?

NORM: Well, I think my interpretation was that there was energy available to the other probable self. Not that all of the energy of that focus went over to the other side, but that there was energy available for the other person, or maybe there was experience. I guess there was experience available to the other probable self.

ELIAS: All experience and all energy of all probable selves is available to all, but each is unique to themselves. Therefore, they continue within individual existence within their own value fulfillment; just as you are not absorbed back into the concept of essence as you disengage physical focus, for you are not separate. Therefore, you are not cast out and then absorbed back. You are the entirety. You are also unique and individual and a new creation, and continue.

(Vic’s note: I find it interesting that to this point, which is about five minutes into the pop-in, everybody in the group coughed a lot, especially Norm. There’s something to notice here ...)

NORM: In the probable worlds, and I’m assuming that worlds is truly plural there. For example, I had an event in my life when I was sixteen years old that I could have chosen to go one way or the other way. I was here in California as a sixteen year old, on my own, and I chose to, rather than stay in California, go back to my home and finish high school. Now to me, in reading about probable selves, I was thinking that was probably ... I had a decision to make. Would that have been a beginning of a probable self, or is my entire interpretation of probable selves not correct?

ELIAS: The probable selves exist. They are all within the energy of you. Their motion, in a counter-to-parallel direction of you, occurs at moments of choice.

NORM: Which occurs all the time, really.

ELIAS: Correct. They may follow your choice, or they may choose alternately. Each choice that you make affects all others, and each shall be influenced. Some shall actualize other choices. Some shall actualize the same choice with a different slant.

I shall offer to you that an alternate self of you exists parallel to you with one less child than you ...

NORM: In the United States?

ELIAS: ... for within probabilities and probable selves, one daughter chose not to continue within physical focus. Therefore, within your reality, a daughter physically exists. Within a probable reality, this daughter does not.

NORM: So there are multiple camouflage systems where I exist simultaneously.

ELIAS: Correct.

NORM: But there has to be an infinity of these! (Now Norm’s rubbing his face!)

ELIAS: Correct.” (Grinning, and we all crack up) [session 152, February 09, 1997]

NORM: “Could any of us have probable selves that have already died?

ELIAS: Absolutely.

NORM: Do I have any?

ELIAS: Yes.

NORM: ... Could I interact with a probable self that has died?

ELIAS: If you are choosing.

NORM: And there’s more than one?

ELIAS: Yes. You may intersect any probable self.

NORM: Are they in transition?

ELIAS: One.

NORM: And the other one has refocused?

ELIAS: Within an alternate dimension. You may at any point intersect with any alternate or probable self. This is not to say that you may find this action quite easy within physical focus, but it is accomplishable.

NORM: A challenge!

ELIAS: Quite!

BOB: Must we find our own way to that, or is there a road map?

ELIAS: In actuality, yes; for I may offer you many instructions, and you within your consciousness may not necessarily manifest these. Each individual creates their own way within their movement, in a manner of speaking. Your desire spurs you. If you are holding a great desire to be manifesting or intersecting, you shall create for yourself your own way in accomplishing this. This is not a path. This is not a method, for it may occur instantaneously.

I have offered much information within our sessions of dream instruction. I may offer much, much more and you each may not incorporate this, for within each individual you may not understand or you may not believe you hold the ability to create what I express to you. Therefore, what is valid is your experience and what you create within your reality. It matters not methods that I may offer or that anyone may offer to you. It matters what you may offer to yourself within your experience for your movement.” [session 159, March 23, 1997]

ELIAS: “Each focus is an element of the essence. Therefore, they are intermingled. They are all occurring simultaneously and they are interchangeable. I have expressed previously that you may view other focuses of essence as also probable selves of you, in one manner of speaking. Therefore, although each focus holds its own identity, each focus is also an element of essence, and each focus holds all of essence within it. Therefore, you are all interchangeable and you ARE the other focuses, although within your identity and your attention, you are not. Therefore, each focus may be influencing of each other focus and you may be identifying another focus as you, for the tone of each focus is so very slightly different that they are almost unrecognizable. Therefore, you may identify the same elements within you as being you within a certain time framework of this focus, as you identify with the sameness of the other focus; this also being a bleed-through action.” [session 217, September 14, 1997]

NORM: “Cathy and Mary and I were talking about it earlier and I certainly appreciate some of their comments, but ... we were talking about, for example, positive thinking, and that you can do things and that your restrictions that you place on yourself are really as a result of duplicity. The ability to recognize, I suppose, your true talents and your true capabilities, one certainly has a difficult time doing that. I think it’s a glorious thing to think of all of the parts of me. I think that one would certainly have to appreciate all of the aspects of oneself and the probable realities and your capabilities in order to arrive at the point where you will be, I suppose. Truly, when you’re into the shift, you’re going to do that, right? I mean, that is truly what’s going to happen in the shift? In fact, it’s probably the most important thing that is going to happen in the shift, in regard to human personality and interaction and so on. I think it’s marvelous that, so to speak, the constants of this reality are going to be ‘dialed’ so that we can have less duplicity. Am I saying that right? That things are going to be loosened and that this is an agreement of all consciousness, that we will more easily facilitate this understanding of duplicity? It’s kind of like a background, knob-twisting here by all of us together, isn’t it? Am I saying that right?

ELIAS: You will be eradicating duplicity.

NORM: Eradicating? Oh, that’s a heavy word! Okay, along with that goes this responsibility that you were talking about earlier in the session, because we’re going to have capabilities that are much greater than what we have today.

ELIAS: They will be realized. You will hold the same capacity that you hold now, but you do not realize your capabilities presently.

NORM: I let my imagination wander, and it really comes up with an Earth that is most gorgeous and most beautiful. And it will be that, will it not?

ELIAS: What you may imagine, you may create.

NORM: And what we together imagine, we will create.

ELIAS: Correct.

NORM: So, eradicating duplicity will mean that we can really have the capability of seeing all our aspects and probable selves. Is that true?

ELIAS: Correct. The action of this shift holds no place for duplicity. The action of this shift is to realize and actualize a more comprehensive expansion of your abilities and your creativity within this dimension; a realization of self and a remembrance of essence.” [session 251, December 18, 1997]

ELIAS: “You also are creating of probable selves quite often within the process of an individual focus. Each time that you are engaging what you would view to be a large or instrumental choice/decision in a specific direction, you are automatically creating a probable self which shall be moving in the direction unchosen.

FORREST: How important a choice is it that defines whether or not an alternate self will be branched off at that point, or a probable self will be branched off at that point?

ELIAS: An alternate and a probable are different.

FORREST: Using the word probable then.

ELIAS: Yes. Probable selves are created within choices that appear to you in your focus as being more extreme.

An example of this action which has been partially stated previously would be to view yourself throughout your focus.

There is an element of the existence of these probable selves that follows you and your existence. This is not to say that this may not be altered by the probable self or by influence of another individual. These probable selves may be accessed. You may interact with them. You may be encountering of them, given that you allow yourself the ability to be interactive objectively with them. This be a different type of situation than that of aspects. Aspects of self are YOU.

FORREST: ... Just as an aside, the threshold on the severity of the choice, is that defined by belief systems local to this particular reality? In other words, in determining how severe a choice needs to be in order to be creating of probable selves/possible selves, is that threshold defined by beliefs within this reality?

ELIAS: In one manner of speaking the belief systems are influencing, for all that you move into within choice is influenced by your belief systems within this particular reality; but as to the actual creation of a probable self, it is not contingent upon your belief systems. Your belief systems are influencing, for they are influencing of your choice, therefore placing you with the situation of creating a choice. The choice – outside of the context of belief systems – shall be creating of a probable self. It is the action of the choice itself which is creating of the situation.

FORREST: Do all choices create probable selves or just some of them, just the most severe ones?

ELIAS: Not all choices create probable selves. You may choose to be walking from one of your rooms to another room. You may be choosing to engage in an action of acquiring a glass of water within your other room. This choice is not creating of a probable self that chooses not to be acquiring a glass of water.

FORREST: What defines the threshold between choices which do create probable selves and those which do not create probable selves?

ELIAS: Those choices which alter your reality; choices, as I have stated, which appear to you to hold more significance; choices that affect your direction within your focus, within your probabilities; relationships, movements.

FORREST: Recognition of those kinds of choices is a function of the belief systems of the individual making the choices.

ELIAS: The belief systems influence them. You do not create choices within this physical focus which are NOT influenced by your belief systems objectively. You may be creating of a choice subjectively; very infrequently, but it is possible to be engaging choices subjectively outside of the confines and influences of your belief systems. As I have stated, your objective and subjective awarenesses move in harmony. Therefore, it is quite infrequent that you shall be creating of a choice subjectively which shall be outside of the influence of your held belief system; but at times, within movement outside of your pool of probabilities, dependent upon the severity of the movement outside of your pool of probabilities, you may be creating of a choice which is not influenced by your individually held belief systems.” [session 269, March 19, 1998]

MICHAEL: “Okay. Now, I’ve also heard the term ‘splinter’ used.

ELIAS: Correct.

MICHAEL: What is that?

ELIAS: This would be a particular type of aspect of self. Splinters are those aspects of self which parallel you within a focus. As you manifest within a physical dimension, as I have stated, you hold countless you’s. These are the aspects of you. Some of these aspects of you are quite parallel to you.

Now; a parallel you may be projected by you within the focus and may be manifest physically in this dimension. Therefore, there may be another individual that holds the same essence as you and also parallels you within your experience and creation, but this individual has been projected by you into physical form, into physical manifestation, to be experiencing elements of your physical manifestation that you choose not to be experiencing.

MICHAEL: Okay, so a splinter would be kind of like if you held ... ’cause that goes along with another one of my questions. You gave Ron an example of his essence choosing to manifest itself in the same time frame. So this is similar to that, then? It’s your essence manifesting itself in the same time frame?

ELIAS: Not necessarily. You may hold several focuses within the same time framework of one essence. This is not necessarily a splintering action. The splinter action is created by the focus. This be the difference.

If you look to the whole of essence, it may project several focuses of itself into a physical dimension within the same time framework. You, for example, may be you, and simultaneously within this present now, you may also hold three or four other focuses of essence throughout your globe which shall be experiencing different aspects of your physical dimension for the purity of the experiences.

A splinter is more likened to a probable self. A probable self is created by the focus, which is you. A probable self is not created by the whole of essence, so to speak. It is created by the focus as a projection within alternate realities which appears in choices that have been NOT manifest into your official reality.

Each time you create a choice in your official reality – a choice of substance, so to speak, not a choice of, ‘Shall I rise from my bed this morning or shall I sleep?’ But in choices that are altering of your direction within your focus – ‘Shall I choose this school? Shall I choose to live in this location? Shall I choose to be engaging in this relationship with another individual?’ – these types of choices are inserted into your official reality. The choices that you have NOT chosen to insert into your official reality become those probabilities which are also manifest, but create probable realities in parallel dimensions to this particular dimension.

Therefore, a splinter may be likened to the probable self in that it is a projection of you. The difference is that this particular type of projection may be projected into your officially accepted physical reality. You may meet another aspect of yourself that has been projected by you into this particular physical focus, and it shall be another individual holding its own integrity and creating its own choices within its own focus. It shall remain an element or an aspect of your essence unless it is choosing through its own desire to be fragmented and become its own essence.” [session 279, May 12, 1998]

RODNEY: “My only question as to what you’ve just said is regarding probable selves. You spoke of them as projections. Does this imply that they’re not independent, individual selves in the sense that aspects or alternate selves are?

ELIAS: Let me express to you, this would [be] slightly in the reverse of what you have just expressed. Alternate selves, aspects of self, are in one respect independent of you, but they also are elements of you. Therefore, they are NOT independent of you, for they continuously are interactive with you and are aiding in your creation of your reality.

Probable selves are a different type of creation. These are projections of yourself in areas of consciousness that you project elements of yourself that you choose not to be experiencing within this particular focus. Therefore, you project outwardly another image of yourself and are therefore creating of a probable self which moves into a probable dimension and is creating of its reality independent of you and your choices. Once projected into a probable reality, these probable selves hold the ability to be creating of their own choices independent of your choices, and they may be creating of their own reality in whatever direction they may be choosing.

RODNEY: Thank you.

ELIAS: You are welcome.

RODNEY: Is there any possibility that I personally know any of these probable selves or alternate selves, or is the probable reality so different from mine that I cannot experience it?

ELIAS: No, the probable realities are not so very different from your own reality that you may not experience them.

Let me express to you that within this present now, objectively you do not hold a knowing or an awareness of any of these probable selves or of the alternate selves that you hold, although let me also express to you that you hold the ability to be connecting with any of these aspects of self – any alternate selves and also any probable selves – at any given moment, and in your investigation of these selves, you may also be offering yourself much information into their reality and their creations.

Be aware, though, that there is a definite difference between an alternate self and a probable self, for a probable self shall be creating of slightly different reality than you are creating yourself, whereas alternate selves shall be creating in harmony with you, for they are elements of you that occupy the same consciousness as yourself.” [session 309, August 22, 1998]

JOE: “… I know a lot has been written and explained by both Seth and yourself about probable selves, but I’m still in complete limbo as to probable selves. So, if it’s alright, could we have a discussion about probable selves?

ELIAS: Very well, and which direction would you be choosing to proceed within initially?

JOE: Well, it’s my understanding – and correct me if I’m wrong – that probable selves originate within an individual focus. Correct, incorrect?

ELIAS: Yes, you are correct.

JOE: Okay. Where and how do these probable selves branch off? Exactly how do the alternate realities that these probable selves inhabit work in relation to this reality? How does one keep track of the other, or how do they share information, or in what ways do they relate within an individual focus? And from your perspective, how can you pick one self that is me from another probable self that may have branched off? Or am I way off base? Maybe that’s not how it works at all. I really don’t have much of an understanding, even though there has been a lot explained by you and by others.

ELIAS: Very well.

First of all, I shall express to you a distinction between probable realities and alternate realities. I express this distinction for the reason that alternate realities are occurring continuously within your actual reality and your individual dimension that you occupy within this one focus.

Alternate realities are a continuous action that are occurring involving all of the different aspects of you as this one focus, which all occupy this one dimensional reality.

A probably reality holds a difference, for a probable reality and probable selves move into the position of what you may term as a parallel reality.

Now; first of all, let me also express to you that there are many more parallel realities than merely probable realities, but as we shall confine ourselves to this one subject matter of probable selves and probable realities, we shall direct our attention into this one area in this discussion, and not be involving all of the other parallel realities which are also created and within existence, in your terms.

In this, as you look to an individual focus, such as yourself, you choose within essence to be manifest as a focus of essence, a focus of attention, into one particular manifestation, one time framework, one location, one particular objective reality, and as you move through that one particular focus, you create lines of probabilities.

As I have expressed previously, as you choose to be manifest within physical reality, you enter that physical reality holding what may be termed as a pool of probabilities that you allow yourself to draw upon, and in this, there are many lines of probabilities that you allow yourself to choose from, in a manner of speaking.

This is quite figurative, for be remembering that all probabilities are created and actualized within the moment. They are not an element or a thing that is set before you or in front of you that you choose from. But in this, as you enter into a physical manifestation in one focus, you hold this pool of probabilities, and in this pool of probabilities, there are, as I have stated, many different lines of probabilities that you choose.

Each line of probabilities that you choose to be actualizing in this particular physical dimension and objective reality creates a specific direction, and as you choose a specific direction, you also are NOT choosing to be inserting into this objective reality many other choices, but all choices are actualized. They are merely not all actualized in this one objective reality, for this is the manner in which you have created this particular physical reality.

Therefore, as you move through your individual focus and you create what you view as large or direction-altering choices within your focus, you also are creating, simultaneously, probable realities.

Now; these probable realities are directly related to the physical reality that you are experiencing, and they are actualizing the choices that you have chosen NOT to be inserting into your physical objective reality. Therefore, as an example, as you choose to be actualizing one probability of engaging an intimate relationship in partnership with another individual and you choose to be moving in a direction of probabilities with that individual, you each also are creating probable realities with probable selves that are creating many, many different choices that you have NOT chosen to insert into your objective physical reality.

This creates a type of parallel dimension in which you have created another you, which shall continue and shall be creating different choices from the choices that you view that you choose, but shall appear almost identical to you. Certain qualities of the probable self shall be different, but many of the manifestations of the probable self shall be the same as you.

In a manner of speaking, this is a type of action that you create within your physical focus which may be likened to the creation of clones. You create a clone of yourself and insert this into a probable reality, which becomes a probable dimension or parallel dimension to the dimension that you are experiencing, and from that point, that probable self holds its own individual identity and reality.

Now; realize that to that point, prior to that point, that probable self was not a probable self yet. It was an element of you, an aspect of you, an alternate self of you. At the moment that you choose an alteration in your direction within your physical reality, within your focus, you also create, figuratively speaking, a type of split, and in this split, you create the movement of a particular aspect of yourself, of this individual focus, which moves away from you – or what you recognize as you – and is inserted as almost a separate entity into a parallel reality.

Now; this parallel reality parallels your reality in the existence of its past, for its past shall immediately and simultaneously be created within that moment, for it has already experienced its past, for it is you. Its future and its present may deviate and may not necessarily continue in a parallel line, for at the moment of the choice or the figurative split, the probable self now holds its own reality and it creates its own choices, and it moves futurely within linear time framework into its own reality and shall hold its individual free will and personality and choices.

Therefore, this would be the distinction that is created between an actual parallel dimension, which is not a probable dimension, and a probable dimension holding probable reality and probable selves.

In this, the probable reality holds the ability to be moving away from a parallel line in its creations, and may be creating choices that in actuality are quite different from your choices, and in this, in like manner to yourself, it may also choose to be quite altering of its individual choices and personality expression, dependent upon its individual creations.

JOE: ... Now, could [the concept of probable selves] be compared to the trunk of a tree, where the trunk of the tree is basically a focus, and at each major intersection in the life of the tree, so to speak, or within the individual actions of a particular focus, there’s a branch that comes off. Now, this branch is joined to the tree, but goes off in its own right and in its own way towards sunlight, or in a manner of speaking, its own accomplishments. Would each of these branches be a probable self?

But I have another question too. If and when I transition, do all the probable selves at that time transition also?

ELIAS: Not necessarily, no.

Now; if you are choosing to be entering into transition within physical focus, all of the aspects of your focus, all of the alternate selves of your focus, shall also be engaging elements of transition.

Probable selves may not necessarily be engaging this action, for they have chosen their own individual directions from the point of the sectioning or the split, so to speak.

JOE: Well, have they then basically become their own focus?

ELIAS: In a manner of speaking, yes, within a different dimension.

JOE: A different dimension altogether? Here’s where my confusion lies, in this term ‘dimension.’

ELIAS: Correct.

Now; let me express to you, this would be one of the dimensions which is contained within this particular dimension.

Therefore, what I am expressing to you is that within consciousness, this probable dimension continues to be contained within your Regional Area 1, which is the expression of your physical reality, your universe, and as I have expressed previously, there are many, many, many, many universes and dimensions within your one dimension that you recognize. There are dimensions of time; there are parallel dimensions; there are probable dimensions. All of these dimensions are, in a figurative manner of speaking, subdivisions of what you view as your officially accepted dimension.

JOE: And all of these dimensions are encompassed in like an overall dimension called Regional Area 1?

ELIAS: Yes. They are all contained within it.

Therefore, you are correct in your analogy of the tree, for they are all branches, so to speak, of one creation. They are all contained, in a manner of speaking, within one regional area of consciousness which we have identified as Regional Area 1, but there are countless branches or dimensions of this Regional Area 1.

Now; these are all of the dimensions within a dimension. There are other dimensions which lie outside of this dimension which are entirely different, and their reality, in physical terms, is also entirely different.

JOE: But these would be designated as another regional area, say Regional Area 10, 11, 12, whatever?

ELIAS: Correct.

JOE: Okay. Now, what attachment do I have to a probable self, if any? (Pause)

ELIAS: I express to you that probable selves continue to be affecting within energy and interconnected with you in energy in similar manner to other focuses.

Other focuses hold their own personality and choices and individuality and identity, in a manner of speaking, and they exchange energy with you continuously and are in different manners affecting of you, as you are with them. In similar manner, you continue to be interconnected with probable selves and you continue to be sharing and exchanging energy with probable selves. Therefore, you continue to be affecting of each other.

For example, a probable self may be creating of a traumatic experience within their focus, and in this, as you are interconnected – for this is a probable self of yourself – you may feel, in a manner of speaking, an effect of this creation within the probable self’s reality.

Example: Let us hypothetically express that you create a choice to engage in marriage in this reality, and in this, we shall temporarily skip over the probable self that would be created in that choice of direction. Subsequently, you move through your focus and you engage in the action of participating in facilitating entering focuses. In physical terms, you engage children within your relationship. You become a father, in your very physical terms. You move through your focus, and you hold the reality of a family with three children. At a point in this reality, you choose to be engaging a fourth child.

Now; in that moment, you create a probable self which chooses not to be engaging a fourth child, but holds the three children in like manner to yourself, for its past parallels your past, for its past IS your past. Therefore, it already holds the experiences that you hold.

Now; in choosing different choices, as you move from that point, you engage the family of four children. The probable self engages the family of three children. You continue within your family of four children, and let us express that the probable self engages a situation in which one of the existing three children in that reality disengages; not one of your three children disengages, but one of those three children within the probable reality disengages.

The father, let us hypothetically express, becomes quite distraught and is experiencing trauma in this situation, and tremendous grief. This may be translated into your reality in a momentary expression of a feeling of concern for the same child within your reality, although no objective situation is occurring within your particular reality to be creating concern within you, but you feel momentarily a twinge of concern or grief or fear with respect to that particular child.

This is the translation of energy that exchanges between these probable realities.

Therefore, you may view that you continue to be affecting of each other, although you may not identify necessarily objectively the affectingness, for unlike another focus of yourself, which may continue to be quite influencing of you within an ongoing linear time framework, a probable self shall be momentarily affecting of you within an objective expression.

Another focus may be experiencing a situation of tremendous fearfulness in a scenario of drowning, and this may translate in energy within your focus of a tremendous ongoing fear of water, and this may continue for many years within your focus if you are not allowing yourself to be accessing that information and reconfiguring that energy.

But within the experience of a probable self, they may be experiencing the scenario of drowning, and you may momentarily lose your breath or you may experience a momentary anxiety or fearfulness in your movement into water, but you shall also dismiss this, for there is an immediate subjective identification that this is an experience and an exchange of energy which is occurring within a probable self, and it is unnecessary for you to be experiencing this also and continuing within that experience, for you ARE experiencing it already within the probable self.

JOE: So basically, within a single focus, there are actually a myriad of individuals, each operating independently, creating their own realities in a multitude of dimensions. Is that correct?

ELIAS: Yes, you are correct, and within this objective physical reality that you recognize, that you identify you within, there are myriads of aspects of you which are participating also; not within parallel or probable dimensions or realities, but within THIS objective reality that you recognize.

JOE: But they’re not probables.

ELIAS: No. These are aspects of you. These are alternate selves, which is quite different. These are all the you’s of you which are held presently within the now, within your recognized reality. They are all of the aspects of your individual focus, and they are not separated from you. They are continuously interactive and expressing and they are continuously experiencing.

You merely view yourself as one singular individual, but you are not. You are countless individuals simultaneously. You view yourself as one individual body. You are myriads of physical manifestation.

JOE: Now, an aspect of myself, of my own probable self, with myself being a probable, which is naturally what I would be, then an aspect of myself would be my past selves as well as my future selves. Am I right?

ELIAS: Yes.

JOE: Okay, and they all exist now, within their own nows, within an eternal now.

ELIAS: Yes. It is the picture of the painter creating the self portrait through the mirror, and the mirror, and the mirror, and the mirror, which extends endlessly. (Smiling)

JOE: Sort of like a kaleidoscope.

ELIAS: Correct.

JOE: Okay. Now, each one of these aspects creates their individual realities around their belief systems, as does each and every one of these probables.

ELIAS: No. Aspects are different. The aspects all move in harmony with you.

You, as what you identify as you, are an aspect. You, that you identify as you, I express in an identification of the primary aspect. This would be the aspect which is expressing within the given moment objectively, and in this, one primary aspect may continue for an extended time framework, but this is not to say that all of the other aspects are not functioning and participating also, simultaneously.

Now; within an individual focus, all of these aspects are all you. Therefore, they all participate in alignment with the same belief systems, the same aspects of belief systems, the same basic personality and identification.

Probable selves hold a difference, for in the moment of creation of a probable self – within your linear identification – from that moment futurely, the probable self holds the choice to be altering of all of its reality, and therefore may align with different belief systems than you align with, may choose quite different directions than you choose.

But within the individual focus in your objective reality, in your physical manifestation of this individual focus, all of the you’s of you, all of the aspects of you, all of the alternates of you all hold the same beliefs and aspects of beliefs as you recognize.

JOE: So, as I start to recognize a belief system for what it is and start to possibly move away from that belief system, all of the aspects of me do exactly the same thing.

ELIAS: Yes; in a different manner, for they may approach from a different angle, but they are all creating the same action simultaneously, yes.

JOE: Whereas a probable self would then, if I’m correct, also start to generate, or probably does instantaneously at the time of its creation, its own aspects.

ELIAS: Yes.

JOE: And then they basically are free to go their own way.

ELIAS: If it is creating another probable self, for the aspects are all elements of that probable self.

JOE: Now, can a probable self, and I guess it would stand to reason that they can, probable selves then create probable selves?

ELIAS: Yes.

JOE: There’s a heck of a lot of us running around in this regional area, aren’t there?

ELIAS: Quite! (Grinning) This be the reason that I express to you that your physical dimension is exceedingly far more expansive than you recognize!

JOE: Yes, I can see that.

ELIAS: As I express to you in encouragement to be viewing the bigger picture or to be opening to your periphery, I am expressing a much, much, much bigger picture than you realize! (Chuckling)

JOE: Boy, that’s for sure! (Laughing) There’s absolutely no doubt about that!

ELIAS: Ha ha! This offers you much area for exploration! How may you be bored with this type of creation of physical reality? Ha ha!” [session 481, September 30, 1999]

PAUL H: Can I ask one more question in this area? The snapshot is a very helpful conceptualization of the information you’ve offered to date in linear terms. You’ve offered to Paul [T.] and others a number of focuses in this dimension. You offer a concrete number like 971, and then maybe it’s 972 in another snapshot. In the same sense of a single focus and the probable selves that we’ve discussed as bifurcating or branching off, splintering off based on an intensity of a major decision or something, would you at this point offer a concrete number of probable selves if I were to say, ‘How many probable selves do I have in this now?’ What would your answer to that be?

ELIAS: Numberless, for what you do not recognize concerning these types of actions is that this is all you. Each time you generate one probable self, you generate countless probable selves, for all probabilities are actualized. Therefore in each moment that you create a choice, you also generate every other choice in probability. Therefore, it is a continuous action with no end, and each probable self generates countless probable selves.

PAUL H: So then just a follow-up question. A focus of Paul, a probable Paul disengages, so there are numberless deaths for each focus?

ELIAS: Correct.

PAUL H: From your perception, your perspective is...

ELIAS: Correct. It is merely a matter of attentions, and each attention creates its own unique expression.

PAUL H: So each focus – and you’ve said this before but I’m just coming at it from a different way – I mean it’s, as our friend Vic (pointing to where she usually sat on her sofa) would say, ‘BIG.’ (2)

ELIAS: Quite!

PAUL H: Vast. Because we say, ‘We’re just a single focus, blah-blah, and we’re so little.’ But it’s vast, the energy involved in a single focus of attention.

ELIAS: Now incorporate that concept into the concept of you and the powerfulness of you. If you are generating all of this action continuously in one focus of attention, the power that you incorporate is unlimited. (Intently) Without limit.

PAUL H: And there’s responsibility that comes with that power.

ELIAS: To self.

PAUL H: To self, in the context of expression of essence, as you’ve expressed.

ELIAS: Correct.

PAUL H: Is that an innate quality, this responsibility to self, as you open, become aware, the thinker of the thoughts, the dreamer of the dreams? It’s hard to articulate. I have a conceptual sense of an innate action occurs of awareness widening and a sense of responsibility to self and how self deals with ... in the context of this whole vast array of energy, of consciousness.

ELIAS: Correct, yes. For in this, you become objectively more aware of the lack of separation in this vastness in the expression of consciousness, and therefore you recognize that there is no action of intrusion. For in NOT expressing of essence, in your terms, that which you express is expressed to yourself.

In your physical terms, in narrow expression, if you are generating an action in physical manifestation that is hurtful to another individual, or that which you deem to be intrusive to another individual, you are not creating hurtfulness or intrusiveness to another individual. You are [creating hurtfulness] to yourself, for that which you project outwardly is merely a reflection of yourself. It all is your perception, therefore it is your reality, therefore it is you.

PAUL H: Thank you.” [session 991, January 21, 2002]

PAUL H: (Both laugh) Okay, I appreciate it. Let’s put in the idea of probable selves, because I think that helps to get us into a multi-dimensional framework here. And this is something that we might be able to ask some further questions about. From my perspective, as a focus of attention, I have a probable birth, but that is really the initiation of all of my probable selves, is that correct?

ELIAS: Yes.

PAUL H: In terms of linear time…

ELIAS: Yes.

PAUL H: …I’m calling it linear time. So, we’ll just take my life, and I was born May 5, 1955, so I’m a little baby there, and I’m doing my thing, and at some point I splinter off into my first probable self. And at another point life conditions create a tension-resolution (Elias nods throughout) to such a point where I splinter off into yet another probable self – and I’m referring mentally, Elias, to a chart that I showed Mary back in January (Elias nods), so I think you have that in her memory bank to refer to with these probable selves and these bifurcation points. Is that diagram a roughly accurate, at least beginning way to look at probable selves as they fragment through time? (3)

ELIAS: Somewhat.

PAUL H: Okay.

ELIAS: For it is an initial draft of identifying movements and choices and directions within one focus which generate probable selves in different points of the focus.

Now; recognize whenever you generate one of these points in which you, in your terms, splinter a probable self, you do not merely generate one probable self or one probable reality, for in that moment all of the probable probabilities are actualized.

PAUL H: And that would then include all subsequent probable splintering?

ELIAS: Yes.

PAUL H: Wow.

ELIAS: Therefore, in a manner of speaking, it is infinite.

PAUL H: Right. And yet in a manner of speaking there’s a way to make it somewhat discrete, correct?

ELIAS: Discrete in ….

PAUL H: Yeah, finite, I guess. It’s back to that duality – finite vs. infinite.

ELIAS: The finite action is the choice that you generate that you insert into your reality. But from that choice springs, so to speak, infinite choices and infinite scenarios of probabilities.

PAUL H: Right, that’s clear. This is good. This is helpful here. So I want to get back to the choice, the free will, the choice that is a bifurcation point. There’s something else in this.

At the bifurcation point itself, for example, the liver cell bifurcates also, my entire physical form bifurcates, or is it the entire, the entire dimension? (Pause)

ELIAS: (Takes a deep breath) Figuratively speaking, yes. In relation to you.

PAUL H: To the perspective, the focus of attention.

ELIAS: (Nods) Correct. And the essence.

PAUL H: Ah, right, right, right. I keep forgetting that layer! (Both laugh) Oh, but I’m getting more in touch with including that layer, because that is the primary thing, and it’s just so invisible that I keep forgetting about it! But that’s the nature of the forgetting, isn’t it? (Elias laughs loudly)

You appreciate this, don’t you? (Both laugh) My confusion? My remembering. I know you do. (Elias laughs) So, this question, then, you just articulated that thus far in my awareness that it’s a major decision vs. some minor decision, so if I get up to go to the bathroom, I don’t necessarily fragment into a probable self, correct?

ELIAS: Correct.

PAUL H: So there is some intensity within energy that’s discernible somehow, where this probable splintering occurs, correct?

ELIAS: Correct.

PAUL H: So that is something that Norm and the dream-art physicists will eventually begin to identify somehow, correct?

ELIAS: Yes.

PAUL H: Yes, okay.

ELIAS: You are already moving in that direction, for you are already recognizing that there are points in your movement that are identifiable in time which signify that action of generating probable selves and probable realities.

PAUL H: Right.

ELIAS: And that you may actually intersect those probable realities and probable selves and interact. You may move into those probable realities and move also back to your own.

PAUL H: And how would I know in my objective awareness that this has occurred? There must be some perceptible apprehension in objective terms, not necessarily five senses, not necessarily a thought, but in terms of impression, impulse, feeling, even emotion, I guess, since that’s a baseline and a key avenue of essence communication. Is there then an emotional way that I could learn to discern these probability points, these bifurcation points?

ELIAS: You may easily identify these points objectively. The manner in which you identify these points is merely to be viewing your movement objectively and your directions, and each time you generate an alteration of your direction you may, in your terms, mark this as a point of creating probable selves and probable realities. In those time frameworks in which you generate decisions, choices that change your direction in some manner, you are generating probable realities also.

For example, an individual may be avoiding a collision within their vehicle, and it may be what you term to be a near miss. In that moment there has been a jerk action of the individual’s direction. The direction was to collide, and in that moment there has been an alteration of the direction which is noticeable, but it is also abrupt.

Now; not all probable realities are generated in abrupt alterations of your directions, but those are quite noticeable. Those that may be more subtle, so to speak, but are also quite obvious, may be pinpointed in any decisions and choices that you incorporate that change your direction. Incorporating different schools, the choice of coupling yourself with another individual, or dissolving a coupling, generating a new relationship with another individual, different expressions of friendships that may change your direction. Now; you may be incorporating a friendship and not be generating a probable self or reality; it is dependent upon whether your direction changes. But each time you alter your direction you also create probable realities, and in that moment all of the probabilities are actualized.

PAUL H: Hmm. So desire, intent, and emotion are involved in those choices.

ELIAS: Yes!

PAUL H: That result in the bifurcation in the new sense of probabilities.

ELIAS: Not necessarily result. Desire, yes. Emotion is a communication, therefore it is an involvement, for it is an action of communication that you offer to yourself in relation to what you are doing, identifying what you are doing, and communicating to yourself about that action. Desire, yes, is a motivating factor. Your intent, yes, that also generates an involvement for all of your directions are associated with your intent.

PAUL H: So the emotional communication then is a signal, that is, well, in linear terms, after the choice. (Pause. Elias takes a deep breath.) Not necessarily. (Laughs)

ELIAS: In actuality, it appears to be subsequent to the choice. In actuality, it is literally generated at the moment of choice, but in association with the movement of your attention it appears that the communication is expressed after.

PAUL H: Right. So this would be one way to identify, then, one of these bifurcation points through the intensity of the emotional signal?

ELIAS: (Another deep breath. Paul laughs) Not necessarily. For at times you may generate a choice to be altering your direction and not necessarily offer yourself an intensity of emotional communication.

PAUL H: That makes sense, right.

ELIAS: Especially if you are generating a strength in trust of yourself, you do not question your choices, and in that expression of trust, regardless of how affecting the alteration of your direction may be, you may not necessarily be generating an emotional communication concerning it.

PAUL H: Mmhm. So the key then is identifying the doing and choosing.

ELIAS: Yes, and paying attention to the emotional communications if you are generating them.

PAUL H: Right, so it all works together (Elias nods) in a spectrum.

ELIAS: Yes, which is quite important to be paying attention to all of these different functions and generating them in harmony. When any one of them is not in harmony with the others, you are attempting to communicate some information to yourself that concerns your beliefs and concerns how you are influencing your perception and, therefore, how you are influencing your reality.

PAUL H: ... Oh, I just have a couple more questions here, and I really, again, I always appreciate our discussions and your helpfulness and the clues that you plant for me to ponder here as the years roll by. (Elias laughs)

Back to the probable selves idea and the fact that it’s a cluster and whatnot – in a sense, then, from the essence perspective, as it goes through a cycle of manifestation and explodes all its manifestations (Elias nods) and whatnot, as probable selves are created in a time framework, this means, then, that there are – and I know it’s obvious, but I just wanted to state it for the record – that there’s probable deaths, there’s holonic deaths, there’s not a single death.

There is no death, which as you’ve said is a translation of state, a translation of being, a new chapter beginning – but beyond that (Elias nods), just in terms of regular linear time in these probable dimensions that are nested within my Regional Area 1 in this dimension, there are countless probable deaths experienced.

ELIAS: Correct, for this also is a choice to alter your direction.

PAUL H: Right, right. Wow.

ELIAS: And in that choice to alter your direction you, once again, generate numberless probable realities and probable selves.

PAUL H: And from the perspective of essence, that’s all maintained in a simultaneous focus of attention?

ELIAS: Yes.

PAUL H: Yeah, that’s amazing. (Both laugh) It’s really amazing to be in my little bubble where I am floating through consciousness and knowing that there’s another veil and another veil, which are all present right here, right now (Elias chuckles), in a very simple way.” [session 1357, May 29, 2003]

End Notes:

(1) Vic’s note: pop-ins, as we term them, used to be quite frequent occurrences, although their frequency has diminished. They are an interesting element of this phenomenon, an element that seems to be related to several different actions; misinterpretations expressed during conversation, fear or lack of fear within those present, an offering up of information for clarification, a response to connecting within consciousness. The most important element, though, seems to be Mary’s willingness to incorporate them. Bear in mind that we don’t really understand what initiates a pop-in. We just suddenly find ourselves talking to Elias instead of to Mary, which can be a little unnerving at times! As a result, the transcribed part of the pop-in begins whenever somebody remembers to turn on the tape recorder! Many pop-ins are never transcribed, as quite often they occur in places where there is no tape recorder.

(2) Paul H.’s note: this session occurred about six weeks after Vicki Pendley’s untimely passing on December 06, 2001 from pneumonia. Vic in her own boisterous manner would occasionally use the term BIG to describe the vastness and importance of particular concepts.

Also, this session was one of the last to take place in Vicki and Ron’s home where the initial Elias sessions were held (from session 12, June 04, 1995 until session 265, February 05, 1998). Mary was in Castaic for her annual visit, and was sitting on the white sofa in the living room. Joanne, Paul T., and I were seated across from her. I was sitting on the rocking chair, where I often sat, and Vic’s usual seat on the sofa to my right was empty.

The house was also in the process of being sold and many of Vicki and Ron’s belongings had already been packed and moved to what they called “the red house.” So this house reflected the recent changes in our lives and there was more than a bit of nostalgia in the air. While it wasn’t recorded on the tape, I very much felt Vic’s presence and legacy as I spoke about her during this session.

Library: find out more about Vicky Pendley.

(3) Paul’s note: I created a 2’ x 3’ “map” that visualized a group of Elias’ concepts including primary and observing essences, and beginning-continuing-final focuses. It also included several concepts from Seth/Jane Roberts such as the nine forms of time from The Education of Oversoul Seven (1973,1995), counterparts, probable selves, and Frameworks of Consciousness. I brought this with me to the session, and briefly reviewed it with Mary so that Elias would have a physical frame of reference for our discussion.

For photos of the original map see session 1246, January 16, 2003, endnote 2.

The following chart dealt with probable selves.
